It is much more than learning to "hack some1 up"

That really is not so difficult. Yes, it takes some practice, but the glass is obviously not very thick and the size and therefore, weight of the needle are not certain.

Martial arts is largely a matter of physics. The more it weighs, the faster it's going, the harder it hits. The here is throwing accurately so that the needle strikes point first.

Carjackers have learned to break into a car by throwing a steel ball bearing into a side window that's harder than this untempered glass.
