Sitting here in tears watching this. My cousin died of cystic fibrosis, the same disease that Petey died of in this episode. He and his mom remind me of Petey and his mom. My cousin looked much like Petey and his mom was a singer. She died, basically of heartbreak, in 2010. Cystic fibrosis is truly a cruel disease, even with all of the advances of the last few years. My prayers are with those who have loved ones suffering this disease.
@mieka31 Forgot to mention, the effects on Petey's body and physical features and the treatmensa and hospitalizations he had to endure were very real for cf patients at the time. TBAA did a wonderful job of researching this disease.

This song brings a message of hope and Joy into the heart and spirit of the Christian that believes, loves and has faith in a living savior. As a non-believer it's difficult to comprehend because that spiritual side is missing. I'm not criticizing or even judging you, it's not my place. But, as a believer; if I am testifying to the love and grace I've been given, I also have joy, peace and hope, even amidst the trials and tears. That's what this song is referring to.

This episode always freaked me out because my Biological mother and half-brother look just like Audrey and Petey during 1998. Not to mention my brother gets hurt and sick very easily so this episode always makes me prey for them.
My best friend's father has cancer and will only live for about 2 more weeks. I've never had a dad, so his father is the only father figure I've had in my life.
When I was younger, I always watched TBAA— so i do believe there are angels out there. She was a song writer who had written this song for him when he was born but never finished it because he got sick. This episode always freaked me out because my Biological mother and half-brother look just like Audrey and Petey during 1998. Not to mention my brother gets hurt and sick very easily so this episode always makes me prey for them.

My best friend's father has cancer and will only live for about 2 more weeks. I've never had a dad, so his father is the only father figure I've had in my life.
When I was younger, I always watched TBAA— so i do believe there are angels out there. I hope they are watching over him right now, and I hope they let him stay on Earth long enough to see his son go to the homecoming dance in three weeks. I really have testified to love, and this song means so much to me right now.

@killersteve17 Are you blinded? God was everywhere that day. Because of him acting through ordinary people, countless lives were spared. No disrespect, but when it's your time to meet God, you're going to, regardless you age and way you go. If 9-11 wouldn't have happened at all, those who passed away on that day would have passed away in some other fashion, simply because it was their time to be called home.

i've almost made it - in fact i probably have made it now - a daily ritual for the past couple of weeks to view this vid clip at least once daily since losing my mother prematurely at 50 after sufferring for 5 years from ovarian cancer ... my mother's everything to me so i feel for Audrey character, despite the fact it was the other way around with me (ie, my mother being taken and me being left behind in misery thanking God for something so special which didn't remain long enough in this life.

@gman586 actually in this episode the little boy Petey had CF not cancer and Wynonna Judd was guest starring as his mother. She was a song writer who had written this song for him when he was born but never finished it because he got sick. She wrote the ending of this song as a way of telling him that he could go and be free now. Oh and just wondering if you don't believe in praying or God...why are you watching Touched By An Angel??

@draketl7 i am totally with u i love touch by an angel i still watch all the re -run's on channel 11, every morning 7 day's a week at 4 am till 5 am, and this song really make's me feel so good inside it's such an amazing song and it was only this morning i saw this episode on touch by an angel, then i was lead to this site it's amazing how god work's and god is LOVE to, amen, :)

Absolutely loved this episode, this song! Cry every time as well, especially the first time that I noticed the flag changes from "Petey Lives Here" to "Petey Lived Here" after the dove flies across. Hadn't heard John had passed away until I read it here. Yes, R.I.P., John.
