  • white out works better

  • hahaha doesnt always slide out so easy, me and 2 friends had to cuss and coax it out of place, and then had to use a 2x4 and a hammer to get it back in

  • Thanks for the video dude. A claw hammer, sometimes that is all we have but a dead blow will do less damages. if you strike the u-joint cap with the hammer you can cause the metal to bend and after the new cap is in there cause premature failure of the next joint. We might never really know this is happening but its just a word of caution - occasionally a 3#er is all that will take things apart though......

  • the truck has Michigan tags...Snow = salt on the roads = rust. Awesome timing for these videos. Repairing the u joint in my explorer right now! Thanks!

  • A frikken claw hammer.

  • thats alot of rust, my rigs have over 200,000 miles and zero rust even with our 100 inches of rain per year. not sure how that got so rusty? raining acid where you live?

  • what a rust bucket under there!

  • @jeepers2655

welcome to any area of the world with snow! my 2001 truck doesn't look much better

  • Good video thanks!

  • Any suggestion as to what to do when the drive shaft is already out (universal breaks while driving) and you have to figure out which way to put it back?

  • @lep1950 I ASSUME IT WOULD BE HIT OR MISS, ATTATCH IT THEN KEEP REMOVING AND ROTATING IT OVER A HOLE EACH TIME CLOCKWISE TILL U FIND THE RIGHT ARRANGEMENT... MOST I CAN FIGURE

  • In this clip!!!

  • I'm sorry, but the pause you took after saying "a piece of soap stone" and then laying down and going under the car was PERFECT. Unintentionally perfect comedic timing ftw.

  • haa,the shaft looks older than my papa.

    just kidding.

    thank sfor your hard working

  • Thanks Nathan. I have to pull a drive-shaft from my 1983 GMC Van in order to tow it bout 50 miles to a shop to have some work done on it.

  • It is rare to see a good Expert village video on how to do something automotive related.

    Thanks à lot my friend.

  • im gonna index my cock before i stick it in the bitch

  • god DAMN dude! THANK YOU!!!

  • Is it just me or does this guy sound just like, Jeremy Piven?

  • that creeper look really comfortable!!!!!

  • @09ikeanmike56...hell yeah it does! I would fall asleep under my truck with that thing

  • Does the oil of the transmission leak out?

  • That Ford's driveshaft is about as rusty as my 94 GMC Safari lol

  • have u had issues with ur drive shaft seal or axle seal, I have the same year gmc safari. & my dive shafts wiggle pretty loose & makea a scratching or gears rubbing noise?

  • Isn't the driveshaft alot more heavier than that, it seemed like it come loose like a feather, kinda odd to hold it with one hand while hammering away with the other. Please provide feedback - I guess I could use a jack stand If I am not sure tho.

  • @MegaCastleRock driveshafts are actually made with pretty thin material, that one probably only weighs 20lbs or so. two piece driveshafts are a little heavier though

  • Useful information

  • Simple enough I have a weekend project now

  • excellent information/and removal technique actually i watched your clips to help remove my dually u joint thanks

  • hit it with your purse next time lol

  • Thanks you very much for the informative videos!

They are really great.... Please keep them coming!
