Woulda, coulda, shoulda.....Tennessee went 13-0 that year beating Florida, Georgia, Bama, Auburn, Arkansas and a 11-1 Florida State team that lost its game on the road. Ohio State lost at home to Michigan State.

The SEC has gone on to win 7 of the 13 BCS NCs. Should be 8 of 13 as Auburn was 12-0 in 2004 and got robbed by USC.  The big ten has 1. Sorry your conference sucks so much, and will for years to come.

Score would have looked more impressive if not for the first A&M drive that sort of caught the Bucks off guard. Bucks were down to about the 14-yard line when the game ended, too, as I recall. Tack on that TD, plus a score when they missed the fourth down plus the missed FGs and the game could easily have been about 44-7.

That A&M punter is Shane Lechler.  He is a current multi-time pro-bowler with the oakland raiders and is still the top punter in the NFL. I watched him set an Alamo Bowl record with a 67 yard punt. That guy is amazing.

My beloved Bucks pulled one of the alltime gag jobs to MSU @ home on the first Saturday in November 28-24 as a 20+ point favorite. FSU also had one loss but it came on the road earlier in the year to a better team (NCST) so they got the nod after UCLA got beat by Miami and A & M beat KSU. A & M was a very good, tough team. This was Coopers biggest choke of manny (see 2-10-1 to scUM).
