I'm an American who's currently in Kathmandu, Thamel actually, and I have seen some of the most de-spiriting conduct ever in regards to the women and young girls here. This is also helping to spread the levels of AIDS and STDs here. Culturally, the women hold a very low status here, and that's helping to spread the negative issues that are plaguing the nation. It's a very beautiful country, but the beauty is quickly becoming overrun by the ugliness that blankets much of the outside world.
