@tjslayd69 A few years ago, some people from Harmonix were in Japan and stopped in an arcade. There, they saw the game GuitarFreaks (made by Konami) and wanted to bring it to America. Some time later, Harmonix released Guitar Hero. Japan had GF, America had GH. Really, it was just someone wanting to bring a japanese game to American audiences, though they were worried we might not enjoy the JPop and JRock, so Harmonix put it American songs.
