this song is included in Donna De Lory's 1st album in 1992, released by BMG and co-produced by Madonna, this is track #7, the album is very hard to find, I got only the tape recording format at that time, Madonna is the featured artist, she just sang in the background...
@cristianishere there was an interesting story that when Madonna was auditioning for backing singers, she initially didn't like Donna because she thought she sounded too much like her until her manager pointed out; "That's the point dear, that's the point!"
@fliponline Actually, you're wrong. As it has been told and published by Patrick Leonard (musical director of Who's That Girl Tour), because their voice is so similar, Madonna didn't realized she was singing along and asked "why isn't this girl singing?", that's when Patrick Leonard said: she *is*. Afterwards, she was picked by Madonna for the tour. Plus, none of the backup singers sing in the same note as Madonna, it wouldn't matter anyway.
@amourdeparis No it shouldn't. Firstly because this one was mostly sung by Donna. Secondly, because Love Song was supposed to be boring, read between the lines!
Written and produced by Madonna & Patrick Leonard, and recorded by her which eventually ended up in the unrealeased music 'bin' and Donna covered it, with Madonna's backing vocals on it. Shame it didn't make the album, cuz its quite an upbeat track, to go along with Express Yourself, could have pumped out some good remixes with it. Good effort Donna D
@musclelad39 This is available commercially. It came out in 1993 by Donna De Lory but Madonna and Stephen Bray produced it. Madonna sang some backing vocals.
Its Donna Delory feat. Madonna...

A very 80's sounding Madonna here. Not sure this would be a hit today but it's O.K.

This song is very Belinda Carlisle (at the time). Great little track, and it's interesting to hear how much Donna sounds like Madonna.

@fliponline Yes, I remember that. It was during the recording of the True Blue album if my memory serves me correctly. I love that story.

@cristianishere Yes, this is very Belinda Carlisle-ish a la her Runaway Horses album.

It was actually the other way around! Mady wrote this song and she even leant her voice as a back up for Donna!

All that I have, all that I ask
All my dreams, they fade so fast
Don't wake me up, not today
All my dreams will fade away
And I want him, and I need him
I can't live and I'd die just to see him...

at 3:55 one clearly hears Madonna singing until the end of the song ... but it's really more Donna DeLory feat. Madonna - not the other way ;D

A portion of this song was performed on the Nickelodeon 90's TV series Roundhouse in 1993. It was sung by Amy Ehrlich.

This song should have been included in the album. Love Song should have been omitted.
