  • I'm am still young (19), but i've had the privilege to train with all of these greats (excluding the late sensei Enoeda), they are harsh but fair and because of them my karate has flurished, I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank them all. Oss.

  • I think it's nice these skilled gentlemen are donating their skills to comedy like this. I don't think 205 has embarrassed himself at all on here, for telling the truth? Ok language a bit unnecessary. And what does it mean that someone's a 7th dan and another's 6th dan..absolutely nothing in a real fight. ps - keep the martial in your art.

  • Video's like this always make me wonder how well their reaction time would be if it wasn't rehearsed. I'm certainly not saying that these people aren't really skilled, but the problem with most of these fighting styles in real world situations is that it would take near inhuman reaction times for most of these moves to be effective, meaning someone who only uses easy to execute basic techniques at the same skill level will make far less mistakes, thus would win most of the time.

  • @666Seryan

This is why in the Dan gradings especially for the KUGB part of the criteria to pass up grades involves protecting yourself from unknown attacks, this isn't rehearsed and is there purely to see how the participant reacts under pressure and unplanned circumstances :)

  • Great vid.enjoyed it...

I noticed you cant put a video together of Shotokan Karate and then leave out the great and much missed Master Sensei Enoeda. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is great! Thank you for sharing!

  • i would love this man to try and take on sensei chico mbakwe or sensei dave hazard

  • @MegaPaddle

Dave Hazard is 7th Dan, Andy Sherry is 8th.

Changing your name to sound like 70's porn star reprobate doesnt make him a better fighter.

  • i train with frank brennan, andy sherry and sometimes bob poybton

  • Hey if u look at 1.20 that move he did jump up and kick them both the same time that was done in this 2010 natinals

  • the old school .oss.

  • Andy sherry is an 8th dan now frank brennan 7th and poynton 7th

  • Salford, was simply the BEST

  • I used to watch Andy and Terry Spar when the red triangle was in Everton. My dad had a factory under Andy's school when I was about 10 so I got to watch quite a bit, they used to make the ceiling shake, and watching them swing big knives at each other had me in awe

  • @PiezPiedPy

You must of been watching like a woman watches the soaps every night lol...

I know I would of been lol.Do you know justhow lucky you are.Jammy sod.hahaha.

  • claudia im sorry but your uncle is a major asshole im a black belt but it took me 9 years and 5 black belt gradings i seen so many of his favourites fly through in no time and there abilty wasnt the best whilst others no luck VERY BIASED some would say crooked and thats well known

  • I am by no means a favourite, but i trained hard, 5 times a week and within 3 years sensei sherry "asked" me to take my shodan grading.

there is favouritism yes, crooked? i wouldnt say so.

sensei poynton recognises who tries hardest, regardless of abilities.

    thats what counts.

  • @bendog205 And with that attitude I'm astonished you passed at all. Perhaps those you regard as Bob's favourites were those who had the strength of character to be self critical and improve themselves rather than blaming the grading examiner for their lack of success.

  • @IanIngram1

Makes you wonder if he had the same attitude at the time he was failed.

  • @bendog205 Iam.Sorry to hear of your unfortunate experiance. But to direct it at a young girl just because she is the neice of just ONE of My Sensei's is very under handed. You have just disgraced yourself in front of millions on an online site...Not good it simply stays here for all to see.

And you think Sensei Poynton is in the slightest bothered. You punish yourself.

Corrupt.lol. Your a lil over emotional.

  • @bendog205 i really dont think he is a horrible person, i dont mean this as his family, but as a Sensei he has trained hard and is fair, i think more than anything he likes to see people doing well and treats everyone fairly. Sorry you feel that way, and I'm sure him and the other Sensei's would like to hear your thoughts on him?

  • Pure Karate, Super-Action!

  • thats my uncle on there :)

    Bob poynton

    & also where i train

  • hi claudia ,take no notice of what other people say ,you will know yourself when you are ready to grade no matter what belt it is ,no one is just given a belt belt they have to train very hard not just turn up.regards paul from the monday club

  • @ClaudiaPoynton ur bob poyntons niece ?? cool i think iv seen u in torbay, the spring traning course !!! do u have blonde hair ??

  • @ClaudiaPoynton

Sorry you have to hear some of societys ills and disrespect.

Your Uncle Bob Poynton Sensei....I find him to be very wll mannered and respectable.Dont ever allow anyone to vex you Claudia.

I hope one day my nieces will be as enthusiastic and proud just as you are...And you have every right,He is your Uncle and a great Sensei,Sensei Poynton,Sensei Brennan,And Sensei Sherry...make a great team and serve the kugb well.

Anyone can dispute it...,But wont change my opinion.

  • 2:23 - 2:39

    awesome

  • Andy Sherry & Frank Brennan==best white caucasian karate fighters ever???

  • I don't know what you'd say about his ethnicity, but there's gotta be room for Steve Arneil in there - fighting 100 guys in a row!

  • @gyromancy2

Just two of the best karate Senseis is good enough

  • Watched the two brennan brothers do their demo live many times in the 80's. It was truly awsome. Still amongst the best.

  • Great demo, amazing, true martial artists

  • Poor old Jimmy... never the Bride, lol!

  • true.

  • does anyone know where u can find the Terry O'Neil and Bob Poynton with the chair, coz that is ace if its the one im thinking about. everyone the club i train at loves frank, he is so good and when he teaches he gets the best out of u. thanks for the upload.

  • Frank Brennan was my grader as a kid, Enoeda was our Chief instructor. These guys are phenoms of Shotokan, my current grader is Masao Kawasoe and he is as close to perfection as one can attain. Fantastic Karate from everyone

  • Frank vs Jimmy - now that's a serious brother's spat! two brother's u wudnt wana piss of at school

  • Terry O'Neil and Bob Poynton's demo with chairs has to be tops though!

  • The best I have seen.

    Syl

  • Where did you see it?

  • fantastic. thanx for posting this, and all the other kugb stuff.
