  • All you Bullit/Lalo lovers, Type: "Bullit orginal score" and there it is!!

  • i love that movie

  • Thumbs up if this is one of the best song ever written for a movie

  • muscle car music

  • Lalo is just so cooool !

  • I watched the movie three times this week just to hear the music. Love that San Francisco scenery, too.

  • Hi dudes the original theme is available in following video: youtube.com/watch?gl=SE&hl=en&client=mv-google&v=PlL8V-_wYiI

  • Good. But not as good as original Bullitt soundtrack.

  • @servaran I agree, and I'm sending you "My version" of the original....

  • WOW..best ever...

  • From 1:46 thru 2:20 -- best build up EVER!

  • I have the vinyl. It is not really the original arrangement. But very well -perfomed, a nice version. Thank you for posting. Greetings from São Paulo, Brasil :)

  • the soundtrack of my life :)

  • Ha ha ha ha for fucks sake boswell open the curtains man the sun is out and take that fuckin anorak back to Peacocks ha ha ha ha ha

  • Awesome!!!!!

  • wicked kool,!!!

  • Great theme. Mixes big band with electronic pop and funk to capture a mood! Not the same version on the movie soundtrack but still movin.

  • Great theme. Mixes big band with electronic pop and funk to capture a mood!

  • RIP Steve, ;)

  • Don't all Tom Cruise movies make you want to vomit? I'd put a cigarette out in my eye if they cast him as Steve McQeen. Leave his movies alone, the quiet cool of McQueen riegns eternal

  • This guy is my cousin

  • I hope Hollywood doesn't add this movie to one of their remakes. The thought of Tom Cruise playing McQueens character would make anyone want to vomit!

  • I've got the CD (same cover pic as above), but this is different from the main title theme on my CD... Both are good tracks, but this one is streets better.. I love it.. Wish I could get a copy.. Thanks for posting

  • I agree its really close under it gets going, this is not the original, fine rendition though

  • woah this is beyond amazing..:) ..thanks for sharing

  • I think it is the music boswell

  • I think it is the music boswell

  • Brilliant !!!

  • sweet!

  • This is NOT the music used in the opening scene of the movie! It is a remake (I'm assuming for the OST) but it's NOT the same music, it's CLOSE, it's NOT identical. I'm watching the dvd and comparing it. The bassline is WAY off. I like the one from the movie a lot better. I wonder if there is a true copy of the original music available. One could rip it from the dvd, up to the point where the movie sounds start and mix it with this track to get a more complete version, I suppose...

  • @Starbuckin You may be right.

  • @boswell69 he is

  • @boswell69 amazing. YouTube closer musical links.

  • @Starbuckin I think it is the original music Boswell

  • @Starbuckin

As far as I know it was never planned to publish the score. But after that huge success they had to record it again and that is why there is a difference between the soundtrack and the afterwards score.

  • @SteveMcQueen0 Thanks for the info... I figured as much... It would seem simple for them to get ahold of the original music track used in the film before it was mixed with the gunshots and such. I guess perhaps that could not be done easily and/or they wanted to keep something special for the movie. Also perhaps they wanted to 'spice up' the OST. I for one like the original music much better. The opening piece sounds INCREDIBLE on my Sony Sur. Sys. OST is MUCH different.

  • @Starbuckin who cares.. it is great...

  • @peterxmagic I care, because I wanted to hear the ORIGINAL music, as heard on the movie, not some grossly innacurate remake... If you ACTUALLY think that this piece is great, you should try listening to MINE... I'll send it to you...

  • @Starbuckin I think I prefer the one on the soundtrack. The bass is kind of darker and more free. The one in the movie sounds like it's being held back, but I do love the sound of the instrument in the movie.

  • @tankbuggeru Thanks for your comment... This one's not bad, but it's not the original, and I HATE the wierd guitar that starts at 0:17, it was never in the original... and the crazy reverberation sound that WAS in the original and so awesome, is missing here at :17... So... I remade it. Listen to my vid and tell me if you still like this one better. I'm sending it to you, friend...

  • @Starbuckin True, this is a re-recording done with the German WDR television orchestra. Recommended because it is very well done and contains tracks never used in the movie. If you like Bullit this album gives you 24 tracks of cool Steve Mc Queen! But it's not the orginal soundtrack. I also prefer the movie version.

  • @Starbuckin It still sounds badass though.

  • 0 people hate steve mcqueen

  • this song makes everything u do seem classy

  • great composition; love the brass power pushes & sax melodies, & flute interludes. Great stuff! This definitely made the movie a total package

  • Number 11 on my all time tough guy movie list.

  • Very fine indeed but for Me the Daddy is Bernard Herman But Mancini, morriconi, bernstien ,morose and many more did great film music and I have been privilaged to enjoy them all

  • No one else does it like this. For me, this is the best. I saw the movie from the back seat of my parents car at the drive-inn as a kid. I still remember feeling like I was in over my head when heard this song. The music really messed with my head.

  • ahahahahah this is wonderful!!!!!

  • COOL

  • Lalo Schifrin ruled film jazz scores.

  • slammin

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!

  • As a result of this video I shall be purchasing a record player and this on vinyl next week. Thank you.

  • the melody sounds like the truck turner theme

  • Reminds me of San Francisco when it was a good place to hang out.

  • royallllllllllll

  • 0 dislikes :)

  • nice music and good actor. +++++++++10

  • This was a great film, the chase was fantastic.

  • Lalo Schifrin, John Barry, RD Burman - composers of many a fine film score. :-)

  • Lalo Schifrin laying down cool jazz for the man who defined cool. I would have said it was impossible to match the McQueen persona with an appropriate musical theme. Schifrin not only did it, it only enhanced the coolness of Frank Bullitt. No one will ever transcend the McQueen coolness factor. Not even prospective Daniel Craig rumored to be tapped for the McQueen bio pic.

  • @DuvalDem I completely agree. Thank you.

  • @DuvalDem, Amen.

  • @DuvalDem Well I'd say Clint Eastwood gave McQueen a pretty dam good run for his money in 'Dirty Harry' wouldn't you agree? Daniel Craig should be tapped for the McQueen biography if theres one being made as his image is similar and also the way in which he acts.

  • @sammeister1 Daniel Craig and Steve McQueen are two of my all time favourite actors. They both boss the screen with a sense of effortlessness.

  • @DuvalDem i absolutely agree, mcqueen was very much the man, bullitt is one of the best made movies ever hands down

  • Tv and movies nowadays don't even HAVE themes much, a great loss when you consider the talent of composers like LS.

  • one in 100 Years Movie

  • Latin American soundtrack ... that others will Lalo Schifrin

  • hearrd this on some car ad and loved it ever since bless.. i werent even born in the 60's.. braap

  • Lalo Schifren created a score worthy of the COOLEST actor.

  • Nice and mellow.

  • very nice.

  • The rumored "Mission: Impossible 4" better darn well have a score by Lalo Schifrin.

  • el Gran Lalo

  • BIg Lalo...the daddy of all gritty late 60-70s cinamatic toons. This guy could ramp up the tension big time....cheers lalo

  • GREAT LALO !!1 bravo che.salutos de todo brasil...

  • I've never really been much for jazz. But this one of the coolest scores for any movie.

  • some great sound of the 60s

  • Love the bass in this... Really gives the low, quiet sense of being undercover.

  • He did the music to the Dirty Harry films as well.

  • Master of the cool urban theme music so popular in the late Sixties/Seventies, and far superior to what you got nowadays.

  • How true!

  • Lalio Shifrin is great

  • Vamos Argentina !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Genio.

  • music

  • this is the opening seen music?

  • Just saw lalo live in dublin..legend

  • yes indeed.

  • One of the best after Ennio

  • Excellent.

    Merci

  • williams and mancini are great. can't argue that.

but my boy lalo had a love affair with jazz/fusion that i prefer the most.

anybody have 'on the way to san mateo'? LOVE that tune.

  • nah you are wrong

  • Lalo Schifrin, Henri Mancini, Ennio Morricone, John Williams, John Barry, Basil Poledouris, Jerry Goldsmith, etc: Thank you.

  • Shifrin is far better than Williams or Mancini. End of

  • Wrong, most of them are very good even great but Williams is genious and that is not a matter of taste.

  • One of the best movie themes ever. So 60's.

  • lalo schifrin is the best along with john barry, basil podeldouris and a lot of great composers

  • don't forget John Williams and Henri Mancini

  • damn right ;)

  • @Zoloft61 or morricone

  • @Zoloft61 Então não vamos esquecer também do Morricone, do Michel Legrand, do Nino Rota...

  • @Zoloft61 And Quincy Jones and John Barry. ;-)

  • @Zoloft61 lets try to forget all about john williams

  • Yes. A great composer,.

  • @mardenhill bullshit, morricone is!!!

  • @DerSuperJerome das ist natürlich bullenscheiss, jerome. morricone ist gut, aber gegen schifrin kann er nicht anstinken.

  • Lalo has a sound of his very own, the guy simply rules !!!
