  • That was awesome! I'm not a huge hot dog fan but the way you described it sounded yummy.

  • @lolaknows It was very good!

  • Always fun to go to a place that is portrayed or mentioned on TV or in movies.

  • @PaintedRavensong Hi Raven. Ya I think it's really neat when you can see things like that. The first time I went cross-country on a bus, the driver gave us a really awesome trip through Chicago pointing out different things that we may have seen in movies or on TV . I loved it when he showed us where a couple scenes from The Blues Brothers were filmed. :-)

  • @Prototype87 No Jamie is still alive and well as far as I know James. I talked to the one cashier who had worked there for nearly 3 decades and she said that she had met him several time and that he is just awesome! It was a really cool place and probably a good thing I don't live closer. They serve a lot more than hot dogs and a lot of it genuine Hungarian (which I happen to be) recipes. Good to hear from you, hope all is well with you.

  • Love that you got to do something you've wanted to do for so long. You brought back happy memories with MASH I loved watching that with my mum when I was growing up. When you first started filming I couldn't imagine what the bumps on the wall were! Do they just vacuum pack them so they don't rot? What an amazing place, thanks for sharing your trip with us. Cheers, Lesley

  • @flydarling LESLEY!!! It;s so great to hear from you and great to see you back on YT, you've been missed! Actually I don't think they use real buns anymore. I saw a story on the place a while back and I think that they said they don't use the real buns because they are hard to keep. I picked a bun that I think is the kind they now use in the gift shop and it felt like it was kind of spongy with some kind of lightweight plastic or resin coating.

  • @flydarling Cont. The "buns" on the wall in plastic don't contain any meat at all, just the "buns". There were hundreds of them, mostly musicians and actors but also some dignitaries and news people. Glad it brought back some happy memories for you. :-)

  • @SunnyDazStormyNitz Did wonder how they managed that. Sounds like you got just the right souvenir - did you sign it? L x

  • Hi , so nice to see you again. That looked like a really cool place to visit. Glad to hear you could knock one off your bucket list. lol. It is always nice when something is better than you expected! Cute picture of you two on the end.

Hugs and say Hi to Stormy for me.

    Lauren

  • @justwant2bhappy Hi Lauren! You're so right about something being better than you could have hoped for. It was so great and yes scratching something off the old bucket list is always a welcome distraction. Glad you liked the pic too. Hugs back @ ya & I told him you said Hi. :-)

  • Hot dogs on the wall?? EW! LOL

Good to see yer faces again...it's been too long! Thanks for bringing us!

  • @Illuminatta Hi Toni! Naw there not real hot dogs, just fake buns that have been autographed. LOL Ya, I haven't made a video myself in a while, I've been letting Hubby hold down the fort so to speak. Hopefully I'll get back into it and start posting a little more. Thanks for coming along with us, you're always a welcome companion!

  • OMG, Please tell me that you had one for me

  • @sunsetlover Hi Ang! Those were some good dogs but I only had one because I got to have some authentic Hungarian dumplings for my side dish and I couldn't pass those up. Thanks for coming along!

  • Hi Sunny,

Who doesn't like Klinger? I usually hate when guys dress up in drag on TV and in the movies, but he always pulled it off. My favorite character on that show was Radar.

Glad you enjoyed your hot dog!

    Hi Stormy. :)

    Ray

  • @raycolondotcom Hi Ray! Gary Burgoff actually had a couple buns on the wall in different places. He actually drew a little picture of his character Radar on his next to his autograph.
