  • If your lucky to have the trees on your property, and Amish near by. You can have the timbers made so much more cheaper then buying a kit. Hell the Amish would make the timber and build the cabin shown here for well under $40k.. I think these kits or simple over priced rip offs. $100k for that small building made me laugh i must say. I'm looking at a price tag of $76k for my timber framed cabin and its 5 times the cabin this one is.

  • i loved it i can not afford it

  • Next time, leave out the music, please.

  • I could do a combo timber frame/ earthbag or cob for 1/2 to 1/4 the price. :) It is still very nice though.

  • I enjoyed your video and love the cabin, but trying to build my own for much, much cheaper, do you have one less expensive?

  • @Darkyodajedi sorry for the delayed response. yes we have one that is less expensive but it is also smaller

  • Wait, this thing was a QUARTER MILLION DOLLARS?!?! Wow, so my estimates here on doing it for less than $30k for a 2 story 16X20 are GREAT!

  • About $250,000 including excavation, foundation, licensing, permits, all interior finishing to move in and taxes

  • @randomredbanana13 You got ROBBED!

  • @randomredbanana13 250,000!!!! How much would this cost if I did this and not your company.

  • How much did this cost to build?

  • nice cabin - not practical for off the grid wilderness unless you have a crane on your land!!

  • @organic1201 haha! I was thinking the same thing. Damn.... just how much of a pain in the ass would it be to try'n build one of those without a crane?

  • @organic1201 i grew up in a timber framed home off the grid, and have thus far been involved in the building and raising of many, it does make it easier to have a crane, but most that i have seen are raised by hand, either with rigging (gin pole) or entirely human power with pike poles. it is a pain in the ass, but worth a house that will last a few hundred years. i dont intend to be snide, but timber framing is perfectly practical for off the grid wilderness.

  • beautiful cabin!
