So i got my snakebites done on December 21 and had them on ever since..and I knew I'm not allowed to have them at school so I been hideing them with my hand kinda and they finally caught me with them after 4 weeks and now I need to hide them but I'm afraid to take them out. And it's hard to find two retainers together. Without buying something else just to get the other retainer. So I was wondering is there any other way to hide the piercings without my freaking school noticeing them again???

Do retainers actually keep ppl from seeing ur piercings or just make it less noticeable?? I'm getting a lip piercing tommorow and my school doesn't like piercings but idgaf I want one anyways lol and also, if you jst got one, can u switch to a clear retainer during school?

what ever jewlery they put in, you cannot change for at least 6 weeks, so ask them to put the bio flex in, and they just make them hardly noticable

ermmm, the retainers are noticable if they are right in your face, but just on an average basis no one really notices them, i mean i wore them for 2 - 3 years at school and hardly any of my teachers noticed them, and they had a strict no piercings policy, and i got away with it. but there is no method to making them invisable, i mean after all it is a hold in your lip lol x

Wondering if anyone knows: If you get snakebites done with hoops, can you use the regular retainers, or is it better to use curved ones? I saw a random post somewhere that said not to switch between studs and hoops because of how they're pierced, but I'd like a second opinion. Thanks!

@Amarianee I got my lip pierced, and i had it done with a hoop, i switched to a straight clear retainer 2 weeks later, it delayed the healing but my piercing wasnt healed.

@DubbyChin I'm pretty sure they won't. You need the surgical steel to help fight off infections and to let the piercing heal. I know for the lip it takes at least 2 weeks.

@BowYaPker not many chain stores sell lip jewlery, but online stores are easy to come across, you can buy eith of the things you want on ebay and they are new and sterile, or from shops online like body hazard, and also body jewlery shop. which is where i got my bio flex from, and i own lip jewlery from all of the above

you can buy the clear bars at any age, if all else fails get an older friend to get it for you, and just put ice on it, that helps, helps all the piercings, i've done myself anyway, leave it on for about 10 mins on both sides of your lip and the best way to hide is is by getting a retainer, try getting a friend to get one, or just rationalize with your parents, i did that with my mom lol, and shes let me have all four lip piercings(i've only got snakebites now)

@mcrfankifo you can buy them at any age.. the best way to hide it is get a retainer tht barely coms out of the hole. and there's not much you can do to make it not hurt. ice helps tone down the pain alot.. but jst remeber : one , two , three *pain* done. its as simple as tht. and squeezing something or someone really hard always help me.. aha , i have 9 peircings. so you can prollie trust my advice :]

ermm.... there are theese things you can get in boots or chemists and they are for when you have tonsilitus or a bad cough and they numb your throat, so if you suck them and keep it on the inside of your lip i suppose it will be fine since it makes your mouth numb

also that throat spray for bad coughs that numbs your mouth

but if you go on ebay you can buy propper piercing freezing stuff

aslong as the bar stays in the hole then it should be fine aslong as you dont taake it out then try to get it back in again then it wont fuck up the piercing just by pulling it back and forth xx

yes, depends on what piercing, if its lip or something like that, then get clear balls, they make it not so noticable

and put make up over it or something

or have it pierced with a retainer in it

if its septum, then just turn it up inside

Guur, I got my lip pierced 4 days ago so I can't change it yet, so everytime I see aq teacher I pretend to be biting my nails or something that consists of me putting my hand over my face :P I really want to put a ring in because i'm getting my swelling bar taken out on sunday but it'd be so much harder to hide. Depends, it you get good ones then they just look like u have a spot, you can even get some that have a small slip on heads that makes it look like a mole, my head teacher shouted at me for having my lip pierced, but when i had the retainers in she didnt say anything.

it's not wise to change your stud after only 2 weeks but if you pierce it with the retainer as your first piece of lip jewlery then it will be fine
