@GrassRocketFilms This might come as a surprise but I couldn't give a red rats ass what you think about my presentation. I really don't like people all that much that I am going to change anything.
great vids lots of techincal knowledge i was wondering is there a place to purchase a dvd with all these tips and dv you have a clip here on you tube with a slow motion or a step by step like the butterfly for the mckay style thanks once again great vids
Well, it's all about what you want to achieve. I like a butterfly because it easily turns into a backpack if I want to carry my rope sans ropebag (i.e. multi-pitch route where the descent/retreat differs from the start/approach).
Generally, if I'll be returning to the start of the route upon finish (i.e. rapping the line) I'll just leave ropebag/whatever else at the base of the route, provided I trust whoever else is milling around the crag.
But you're right - It does look far cooler this way.
@GrassRocketFilms
What are you talking about? That was hilarious! It only seemed pompous to you because you don't understand his humour.

Now that you have that down maybe start working on your people skills. No one likes a pompous delivery.
