Wow. Your plants and fishes looks healthy. Do you use timer for the lights? No co2 or excel?  Thanks.

@glennfabian The tank is newly set up so the plants I obtained in the wild were the brightest specimens. No co2 no excel is used. For now no light timer, I just wake up and plug in the lights and unplug them when I go to bed. From bottom to the top is cheap top soil, cichlid gravel, plants, water, fish, Eheim 2217, and 2 compact spiral 30 watt lights. Only time will tell if the tank will survive.
