  • I was trying to find my dear city; but I couldn,t!!! I guess the camera is to far away.

No. Simplemente nubosidad.

  • This video has been posted on a couple of Chilean newspapers as "the tsumani seen from the space." But looking at the video, that white stuff that appears to be waves on the coast is actually clouds over the mountains. By the end of the video (2:23 on), you can see the white stuff, and, to the left, the coast of Chile. That is clearly a storm over the Andes, on the Chilean side. Not a tsunami. Also, the dates don't match. The earthquake and tsunami waves occurred on the 27th of February.

  • Great video!

I'm a Chilean in Australia, but all my family is in my hometown of Concepcion. As comunications are mostly cut I don't know anything of my mom yet :(

  • I'll offer the following: (Google) GDACS-for current near real-time aftershock reports, IRESC,IARU region 2,SATERN,and the QRZ news forum (for primary emergency comm. plans / Radio Club de Chile). SATERN is apparently doing ECHOLINK for family voice contacts(three of the VHF repeaters in Santiago survived, and are operational)Poke around the sites for info.,and best of luck.
