  • AND ITS NOT GOING TO BE THE RAILROADS FAULT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T STOP A TRAIN DUM DUMS

  • OK PEOPLE OF THAT ARE LIVING OVER AT THAT PLACE STOP THE QUIT ZONE OR SOMEONES WILL DIE OK TRAIN HORNS ARE WHAT WE NEED TO HAVE TO BLOW AT THE RAILROAD CROSSINGS

  • The first video sounds like teardrop bell

  • and now Horn Alley in Orange, CA is a Qiet Zone Effective Tomorrow, Thursday Feb. 24, 2011

  • I LOVED GROWIN UP IN THE DEKALB AREA. I HEARD DEKALB ONCE GOT AND MAYBE STILL DO GET 80 TRAINS A DAY. TO ME THATS 20 MORE TRAINS A DAY THAN FOLKSTON GEORGIA GETS IN 1 DAY. THATS IMPRESSIVE.

  • People who live in quiet zones are the first people to file lawsuites against the railroads when something bad happens such as somebody being hit bye a train or whatever the case may be but if you dont want to be bothered by the noise or horn from trains then why the hell would you live by railroad tracks to begin with ?

  • Quiet Zones take lives..cant tell you how many accidents I hear about because of them, sure its nice for the people who live there but one day they might pay for it with their lives.

  • Damn Ohio is getting alot of quiet zones too.

  • Nice video 5. That third train was able to pull all those cars with one SD locomotive. Great representation of power

  • I lol'd at the guy at 2:24 (That red car.)

  • DeKalb falls victim to another quiet zone law. What next, Galesburg? Durn Illinois laws.

  • Too bad to hear the crossings in DeKalb are now part of a quiet zone. The train whistles make this video so much more enjoyable to watch!

At least one can always go to Rochelle, so the ban isn't a complete loss. Still seems silly for DeKalb to instate a whistle ban, considering that the east-west UP line runs right in the middle of at least one downtown DeKalb intersection.

Man, this video makes me realize how many years unfortunately it's been since I last was in DeKalb.... :(

  • Does the Allied Intermodal company still exsist, or is it extinct?

  • 2:24...That moron just turned around on the railroad tracks. Just as dumb as trying to beat the train, and potentially MORE dangerous!

  • I love the sound of the bell in the beginning and end of the video! Sounds like the old UP Rochelle crossing just before it was replaced. *****

  • Sweet video Ed! Dayum, that 1st guy looks like he was really moving!! 5*

  • Yep in the railroad world we call them one engine wonders lol

  • I call em One Unit Wonders. but anything like you said works too hahaha

  • wow for one engine that last train was pulling alot!
