  • I really like that outro : )

  • What do you think of having the SA-6630 in a hifisystem? I got that amplifier and thinking of buying a pair of hifi-speakers. Do you think it might be a bottleneck? I mean... it looks good inside, but i haven't had opportunity to listen to it with a good set of speakers.

  • @derfpa1

The amplifier is pretty good, and it sounds good, when hooked to a pair of good hifi speakers. But of course, it's an almost 30 years old amp that already was nothing special when new, so you might be able to find something better than this one.

  • @DrCassette

Okay, thanks! Just ordered a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze BR2. Not the most expensive but the reviews are great! I'll see what my experience is with different amplifiers.

Do you know what class this amplifier is? It runns pretty hot when its idle so either its just the transformer or its a class A-amplifier :O

  • @derfpa1

It's a Class B design. Mine doesn't get too hot when it's idle.

  • @ShitFromShinolla

ok, so you´re from the iPod generation :-)

  • wow! that system is so old dude! I have never seen one like it. That system is way before my time. I think my grandmother has a system from 2003 that I hope she gives to me. It's a real cool one with one of those old CD players built in.

  • Compared to the other stuff in my collection this isn't that old. The oldest unit I have is from 1964.

  • Really? 1964? I didn't know they even had systems back then. Is it one of those things with the big horn thing on top? I saw one in a video once. Can you post a video of it? That's kewl dude. The one in this video is kewl too. I can't believe they used knobs and buttons like that to change tracks back then. My IPOD doesn't have that stuff.

  • @ShitFromShinolla

Well, the "things with the big horns on top" were outdated in the 1930s. The unit from 1964 I have is one of the first cassette recorders ever made.

  • really? what's a cassette recorder? can you do a video of it please? does it have round knobs too?

  • @ShitFromShinolla

As it seems you have never seen any audio equipment older than 10 years ;)

Take a look at my other videos, and you'll find out about cassette recorders, vintage audio and that round knobs once were standart on every unit.

  • what speaker do you have?

  • This system was hooked up to a pair of Sharp speakers from the early 80s.

  • Where are these Sencor products made doc?

  • I don't know...

  • I like this midi components of the 80s!! , good cassette deck!, congratulations from Spain!

  • i like the old stereo's with the old uv metre they bring back memories nice stereo by the way

  • I didn't know that another noise reduction exists

    Very good tapedeck ^ ^

  • A lot of noise reduction systems were develloped in the past, there's not only Dolby.

    other systems are for example:

    HighCom

    HighCom II

    ANRS

    Adres

    DNL

    RVS

    dbx

  • Are the user's guides written in English?

  • They are written in English, German, French and Spanish.

  • NICE System! That cassette deck is great, especially!

Also the amp and the tuner are nice too!

  • a very interesting little system sencor still exist i made a search on google and find their site they made audio and video products nice find bonne soiree

  • Yes, I found that company too but today their products seem to be very cheap.

  • What an interesting radio tuner, it has a digital display, but analogue mechanical tuning. I've seen a few newer stereo systems that use the same tuning system, but the systems I've seen are cheap and nasty. I take it Sencor are German, did they ever make CD players? The optical zoom on your camera makes an interesting noise. What an amazing stereo system, very high quality. I'm not surprised you like that system, I'd like it to if I had one.

  • Sencor is unknown here in Germany, too. I don't know anything about Sencor.

  • Thanks Doc! That's a great looking mini system! Sencor is another good brand not known in North America.

  • Sencor is also not known in Europe! :)

  • beatiful stereo ....

  • Thank you!
