  • Hmmm... first musical part come from Life Force Salamander, not Gradius 2

  • The First Song is From Salamader ^ ^

  • This song's from Gradius...2..like I care

  • Poison of Snake

final stage of Solar Jetman, piloting the golden warpship

  • They're pretty good, but they have some real tempo problems. They're not quite as pronounced in this video, but they really need someone with a sense of tempo.

  • @fruitbane The drummer is always the weak link in VGM cover bands. They also tend to be a charisma-free zone, as "Err this song is from Gradius... 2" guy demonstrates. Harsh? Maybe. True? Definitely.

  • SALAMANDER. Awww sheeeit it's boss time.

  • I wanna like this performance, but Ive heard it soo much cleaner. Good band. You guys gotta hear nerd army's version. This one feels a bit sleepy.

  • @xenocore01 just listened to the nerd army version because of your post... worst version ever. hurt my head.

  • the bass carson's playing looks a lot like the green mad scientist-designed guitar spencer would play in hella. carson is such a beast, seriously. if they gave awards to cover bands the advantage should get like, all of them.

  • Hahaha, some people that like nes music as much as I do... they should do double dragon 2 (arcade version) 3rd level music. That would be heavy!

  • yes, this is the music of the after last world

  • if they wrote this music, they'd be the best band ever.

  • Solar Jetman's last level was unforgivably hard...

I'm trying to end that game now but still haven't beaten that last section.

After collecting all parts it suddenly switches the game to a

    side-scrolling shooter.

I felt pretty confident since I got to it with 4 extra lives...

But oh no... you only get one try at it and it's game over.

Just touch any wall and you explode, wow... what a warship.

Why did they have do a Silver Surfer of it?!

Though... the music is awesome :)

  • @grimreaperhenrik completing solar jetman took me 8 years.

  • @nelizmastr hehe...yeah, it's understandable.

UPDATE! If I remember correctly, I think I actually beat the game the very day after I wrote that, it took 7 attempts.

  • Some how they make nintendo music and make it even beter.

  • The music of Solar Jetman in which part of the game is it?

  • the last level, i think

  • @mrcoffie

Yeah... u'r right! It's the fight with the Golden Warship! Thank you!

  • They should do the Motherbrain boss music from Metroid. /watch?v=1_P4m1B0Waw

  • I love Spencer at 0:20

    :D

    Awesome stuff

  • bad ass solo at 1:40

  • solarjet man part was gold.

  • Simply great!

  • Bout time somone does solar jetman. I like the drummer, he looks like animal.

  • Aye, Spencer Siem from Hella. He's a great guitar player, too.

  • hella is great 1800 ghost dance

  • OMG could have put it better! Look at the resemblance! :D /watch?v=56sZOUPegUw

    Awesome Drummer!

  • Yay for portland, OR!

  • Wow. I never thought I'd hear Solar Jetman music outside of the game.

  • Same. Not counting MIDI covers, I mean. And of course, of all the neat songs they decided to go with, they chose the Golden Warpship theme. Makes sense, I suppose.

  • Wow, amazing covers.

If only I had the same mind and talent as they video game music composers, I would form the greatest band ever.

  • these*

  • the camera-work is great on this one. Really nice coverage. This is the Highest quality video I've ever seen from these guys. And one of the baddest songs too!! These guys ROCK!!

  • This Music is not Gradius II!

    Its Salamander Boss BGM!!

  • Technically the song does appear in Gradius 2, when you fight the tetracore and brain boss, a reference to Salamander itself.

  • This wins, methinks. I've not played Gradius in ages!

*goes off to find it on HD*

  • Wow, these guys rock.

The Solar Jetman half was awesome!

The Gradius song brought back some memories, though I always knew that game as Lifeforce.

  • Life Force is a version of Salamander (which is a sister-series to Gradius), mate. The tune they're playing here is Gradius 2's version of the Salamander boss theme. Confusing enough? :)

  • Hmm, seems you're right. That explains why I recognized the tune, anyway. Wonder why I thought that was Gradius 2? Oh well, that was 20 years ago so who knows :)

  • @Ferret5317

The songs also in Gradius II, which was an entirely different game in Japan. You're right, though. The song's originally from Life Force (Salamander in Japan), which came before Gradius II.

  • wtf!? Did Spencer Seim just mess up the drums?! Notice they count off twice...

  • Solar Jetman - Braveheart level for the win, no doubt one of the best covers they ever played

  • Be true to your school!

  • 8 bit for life =)

  • love them!!!

  • No MAMes, tocan de huevos estos cabrones, aparte pinche nintendo su musica rockea
