Just like calling him the Word of God, note the capital W. Since we are finite and God is infinite we must use analogies to describe God. Jesus and the Father have the same nature. They are both equal, eternal, not created and infinite. There is one God.

Jesus is the Son of God. Note the CAPITAL S. The word Son has a different meaning than the word son. Calling Jesus the Son of God is an analogy. Just like calling him the Word of God, note the capital W. Since we are finite and God is infinite we must use analogies to describe God. Jesus and the Father have the same nature. They are both equal, eternal, not created and infinite. There is one God.

Jesus had a complete human nature (he laughed, cried, ate, slept and his human body died) and a complete divine nature (He was eternal, He healed people, raised them from the dead and He rose from the dead). An analogy would be our body and our spirit. Our body is going to die but our spirit never will. The difference with Jesus was that His spirit was God's spririt (uncreated, infinte, eternal).
When you die is that the end of you? No. You spirit will live on. Only your body dies.

Jesus is in a unique relationship with God the Father. While Hebrew kings were sons of God symbolically (see Psalm 2), Jesus is the only Son of God by nature.
Jesus had the same "nature" as God yet a different "person". With humans a father and son are two separate persons and have two seperate natures. This was not true with Jesus, the Father and Holy Ghost.
The nature describes "what" we are and the person describes who we are.
