I had a Pikmin fall off of the shortcut bridge in Perplexing Pool once. It acted like I threw it into a bottomless pit - I heard the "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" My pikmin count went down by 1 and I was like "what the heck??"

This glitch can also be done with most bridges in pikmin 1.
