But it isn't free energy and its clearly not perpetual motion. This was probably an attempt at that but he is not saying that there is free energy. It's just a display of him making the top spin with the force from his hands.

The yellow tabs are depth indicators. There is a magnet under the bottom white plate that suspends the disc. The peripheral magnets keep the disc from flipping.The slightest movement keeps the disc spinning.

I've assembled a Hamels gate and wrapped a closed loop coil c/w an LED around the outer side of the magnets to see if I can get some current going. I just need to practise getting the central magnet to spin a bit faster. I have not been able to light the LED yet.

Well my findings are that there will never be enough torgue to draw any power. I also found that the ring of magnets lifts the center assembly reducing the friction causing the center to spin longer than without the ring. I found that,in the video, when Larskro moves the box closer and the center spins is because he's pushing it out of center and its trying to get back in equaliberium.

Energy in from movement by your hand, energy out by movement of the disc - pretty logical.
