There is only a very limited outcome that can be achieved without destruction of the source. Although, perhaps something like in Equilibrium would one day work, i.e. set the movement in motion on a grander scale, while the rest of the world waits for the cue of the major catalyst. Destroy the base of operations and watch the structure of the outlying facilities crumble and fall. Worth a shot. But definitely none of this pansy email shenanigans. No one checks their emails these days anyway.
