Suggested lining all protestors (hopefully thousands) up in front of capital, dropping signs, than walking to nearest banks to remove money. In short, causing a televised bank run...which could trigger national runs. Hitting them in the wallet is the only way to hurt them. And completely legal.

Thank the Almight god, Ron Paul wasnt anywhere near the hypocrite stand. Wake up and smell the roses guys, Medicare is a socialist program and it needs to be cut, we have promised more than we can deliver and the sooner we own up to it the better.
The country would end if they dont confront the crisis very soon. Young people will start rioting once they start to realize that the govt is stealing from them for a medicare program that they will never ever see.

Thanks for an excellant job. Curium244 may be correct, however. Cardboard signs, faxes, shouting and even voting may no longer be effective. Saw an interesting vid about effective protesting. Suggested lining all protestors (hopefully thousands) up in front of capital, dropping signs, than walking to nearest banks to remove money. In short, causing a televised bank run...which could trigger national runs. Hitting them in the wallet is the only way to hurt them. And completely legal.

To bigblockmustang: Recently read a liberal/black blog which stated that "all teapartiers are bigoted, racist, Christian, southern, rich, middleaged, stupid, ignorant, morally bankrupt, frightened, Obama haters". But of course that couldn't possibly be biased or inflammatory. In short, if that is what African-Americans are being told to believe than of course none will show up. It is likely that this is also what our elected officials believe.

I am black and I wouldnt show up at those tea parties for so many reason. For one the majority of the folk at tea parties are ignorant, morally bankrupt, selfish, neocon republicans who have absoluetly no problem with war and medicare spendings.
They rail about medicare cuts and the "slashing of our defense budget" when those 2 programs are clearly wasteful and one is the worst kind of socialist medicine. All this while entertaining divisive speakers.

However, I am very uneasy about the direction of the Democratic party. As to the wars, no one seems too eager to end them and no socialist program in this country has yet worked effectively enough. I really think its the best way forward.
On the future of the US, all I see if a gloomy future unless we can discover some form of energy/technology that can be sold to the world. Right now countries are slowly divesting from the dollar, we have been loosing our manufacturing base and while defense and foreign aids are been increased. This cannot be good for the US

I hope you are correct about the dem party but without more people such as Ron Paul I fear the repubs. will remain as partisan & shortsighted as the dems. However, there are a few dems. I like. Consider Elizabeth Warren. In her video, "The Coming Collapse of the Middle Class" she stated that since the 1970's (in inflation adjusted dollars) that the cost of Health Care for a family of 4has increased 74% and mortgages by 76%. These are very disturbing stats.

Am sorry you joined a voluntary army and somehow you believe I owe you anything. I will try and say this in a respectful way, but I dont owe you anything, the same goes for all the seniors whining about the proposed cut in medicare.
At the rate we are going, we will end up losing all our industries but the defense and nursing home industry. This is a time of great sacrifice and I suggest we all get into the program.

If uche007 family history is anything like mine he/she owes you nothing. My father served in Vietnam while his children were back in Alabama attending segregated schools. Had grandfather who served in segregated WWII army, the other served in segregated WWI army & both came back home to more segregation after fighting for "democracy". They made huge sacrifices and were given 2nd class citizenship. If uche007us "owes" anybody it would be those folks.

To wdcsucks1: A successful revolution needs several things: a mandate from the people, leaders willing to sacrfice life & fortune, financial backing and, more pragmatically, some cooperation from the police, military & media. Any strike against the gov't. today would result in massive retaliations and complete loss of freedoms. This scenario would be ideal from the governments viewpoint as it would allow military law and "preemptive indefinite incarcerations". Be careful what you wish for.

Con't before we can't when we have on other option but to physically fight then we will be able to do that but until then we have to use our voices our letters every Avenue has to be taken most people bring their children to these protests how would we feel if we put them in harms way because some think the show of Arms is the only way to make our voices heard We can't let them push us to irrational acts no matter what side you are on I believe we need to keep the pressure on with protest.

it is great Vicki to see you are still out there doing this you do know that for every person that went there are many of us who can't due to the jobless situation however I called and emailed my Reps. because I am not going to do just nothing this is wonderful that people are actually getting out and standing together against this one issue it is important and we have to voice what we don't want or what we want we can't just start shooting people we have realize we can still speak out Now!!
