It's a sad song about being left alone, and screaming his balls off (like I suspect a majority of the haters would prefer) would just sound out of place. This is a borderline ballad song, and I love what Spencer did for it.

@Sproeikoei They took out the screams and cutie-d up the vocals because their label wanted to make a video and most popular "radio stations" and sites look down on bands that scream. Only this version could possibly ever be played on the radio.

@MachSchnellGuitar This is not exactly true, the label did approach us for a radio edit. We didn't want to, but we are the kind of band who will at least try something, and if we don't like it we can then use the result as a basis for dismissal of the idea. When we rearranged the song and Sponce rewrote the parts, we were surprised by how much better and cohesive the song sounded, and so we decided to make it the official version. We also ditched the radio campaign idea.
