  • This is true. I find that My Pit Bull and Chow-Chow can execute the same tricks as any border collie. Yet borders always get the credit for being easily trained

  • @jackstrawfrmwchta Stfu you troll. Go slowly die under your bridge.

  • True! Everyone says you can't train huskies, two of my classmates have huskies

(brothers) and in a few weeks they'll be ready to compete for their Companion Dog title. One of them is more obedient than my border collie!

  • how do you get a dog to stop biting? my brother has a German shepherd and he keeps bititng/

we know that he is just playing., he still a pup. but he is getting pretty big and agressive.

  • @BellaMrdch The leerburg website helped me out a lot with my training. They are very accomplished trainers. They have Michael ellis in my opinion probably one of the best trainers in the world. Be carefull choosing a trainer. I took one of my dogs for a training bootcamp and they really made my dog very inactive and she was actually developing more problem. You can find a lot of answers to what ever problem you have. Good luck and hope the website helps.

  • lies!!!! my dog knows many tricks BUT he won't do ANYTHING unless he made sure i had food to offer!!!! T^T

  • nice video :)

  • aw wuat a cute bernesre mt dog! best breed

  • Our dog HATES physical affection while working. Food and toys really do the trick for him.

  • Fabletv a trick is a behavior. Sitting is a behavior, etc. The only thing I would add to this video is allowing the dog to be trained by targeting, offering behaviors on it's own, or shaping the behavior. This way you don't need to fade your food lure.

  • totally agree!

  • Thanks now its my turn

  • I l;ove expert village it taught me alot and how to teach my good doggy

  • at 0.55 he should not have been backing away he should be stood still, the dog wins

  • yes if your talking dog behaviour but that is irrelevant in dog TRAINING he is teaching the dog a trick...dog TRAINING has nothing to do with dog BEHAVIOUR dog BEHAVIOUR is mainly used for rehabilitations etc.

  • i saw a woman at sonic burger sharing an icecream with her dog. i felt like punching her in the face

  • rofl that's pretty nasty

  • i gave it a thumbs up, not for the woman, but for your wanting to punch her in the face. why do stupid people own dogs? there should be a law against that.

  • the woman was sick in the head

  • @neoserenity333

    oh you mean like you

  • wait why is that bad? sorry im new to dogs lol

  • she was white huh...?

  • @Murgertroy that seems overly violent to me

  • my dog cant keep focus while i have a treat in my hand

  • lol same

  • thats the point of the trea you use it to guide the dog to do wat needs to be done

  • yep and sum dogs get to the point were they will only do tricks if you have a treat

  • @b5150b2012 That's not true at all. Thats the owner's failure to fade the treat. Treats are used to TEACH a behavior only. After the dog learns the behavior the reward changes to verbal or physical praise

  • the store????????????

  • I have a minature daschund, and he started on treats for tricks, and now does tricks all the time without treats.

  • where can i get treats

  • Sorry but your last statement isn't true. I've worked with many dogs over the past twenty years and yes the majority will work for verbal and or physical praise, but I've also had a few dogs that will not obey or remain focussed if food is withheld.

  • fhsfem you have to wean the dogs off the treats. I will use treats until the command is completely known...then I mix with praise and vary the reward. I have had one dog who did not care for praise at all...very independent. I always try to associate a verbal reward as in YES!! with food. So when the dog sat, I said YES!! which is just a verbal marker....and then a treat after. He was also weaned off of food by varying YES!! with food and without. It just takes time and patience.

  • Sheeve07, as stated I have had the oppurtunity to work with many dogs and have used a variety of training methods to include extinction, continous, fix/variable ratio, etc. Yes I understand that as the canine becomes more proficient you can start to withhold the food reward but some dogs do not respond well if food is withheld. I found that to be the case with dogs that are not very sociable or independent as your stated or have very low prey drive.

  • i think it training a mix breed is the same as training a full bred, just as long as the parents were smart and handed some down! xD

  • Some dogs are smarter. Just like people. Simple as that. Bull dogs for instance are dumb asses.

  • Really its just that some breeds take longer to train. Bulldogs have competed in ACK competitions.. heeling, sit, stay and even retrieving dun bells with the owners scent on them. Yes, they can be lethargic and are not as active as most dogs but they can still be trained..even high levels that are necessary for ACK competitions

  • that waz gay. look up mii boiis n there is a really funnay 1.

  • ANY dog can learn tricks, however, it has been proven that certain breeds as a whole learn better and faster, more easily.

  • He's right. Any dog really can learn tricks. I have ridgebacks (hounds). Everyone always says hounds are difficult to train, but with positive training methods, you really can train your dog how to do anything. Give it a try! :-)

  • I love ridgebacks. My friend's Ridgeback bitch is better trained and more obedient than her collie and lab. They have all recieved the same treatment, she just took to it better. I look after the bitch when she is in season (the other 2 dogs are males so she can't be around them at that time) and she really is a bright dog, no trouble at all.

  • @rogersmmr Too right! I have a Pug. Im told theyre stubborn. He skateboards, he does freestyle, he does agility and conformation and frisbee.
