Ali (RA) said to the Kharijites:

"With regard to me, two categories of people will be ruined, namely he who loves me too much and the love takes him away from rightfulness, and he who hates me too much and the hatred takes him away from rightfulness. The best man with regard to me is he who is on the middle course. So be with him and be with the great majority (of Muslims) because Allah's hand (of protection) is on keeping unity..."

Para 26 Rukooh 19 Surah Al Zariaat - Allah says about Hazrat Sarah wife of Hazrat Ibrahim [as] Khaleel Allah

Where God Almighty has said that Hazrat Sarah [as]slapped her face , he never said that she commited a sin or that she has done something wrong and Islam does not approve of it, which is a proof in it self that Hazrat Sarah did not commit a sin - not even an un favourable act.

In "Masnad Ahmed Humbal " Published from Egypt Volume 6 page 274 the writer quotes : " Hazrat Ayesha said when Rasool-e-Khuda died his head was on my lap and then i place the holy head of Rasool-e-Khuda on a pillow and i along with other women stood up while beating our chest (doing matam)started slapping my own face.If Matam is not Jaiz or Haraam then put the first fatwa on Hazrat Ayesha.
