2008 Infiniti G35 with mufflers removed

I unbolted my muffler a few days after I bought my sedan (3 years ago) and never looked back. It's "ghetto", but it give me a near perfect exhaust note for free. It's a bit raspy, but not in a bad way... just at lower RPMs in full throttle you can hear that a little. I actually wish it was a little louder. You can't hear it at all on the highway FYI.

how's it sound when you're on the highway? is the drone annoying? i just want a LITTLE more volume so a full exhaust is 100% out of the question..

Get a Stillen exhaust its barely louder than stock and doesn't sound farty at all it sounds like stock

the G has two nice long resonators that do most of the sound control and the mufflers whip down that last little bit to quiet it down. this vid has the mufflers replaced but the resonators still in place, I imagine. It goes, cats in the downpipe into resonators into the mufflers. That's why its not all that loud.

Oddly enough, one of the reasons I wanted a G35 is because it sounded like the GTI VR6 I was replacing.

Actually, yeah, Major Infiniti is in Kansas City, MO. Hillbilly it is. Honestly though, it sounds a bit quiet for no mufflers, but I guess it's in the recording.

loving the hillbilly comment and the guy who knows all about Infiniti's exhaust tuning philosophy despite his inability to write a simple comment without typos. If people with the '07+ G35 or 08+ G37 read this, just unbolt them and listen for yourself... it takes 20 minutes and you don't even need a jack if you're not lowered.
