EVIDENTLY, you did not hear the full audio recording--you didn't hear the part where the child could not read out the flight number, but one flight's pilot ASSUMED it was address to him so he responded anyway and acted according to the instructions he ASSUMED were directed at him.

Wow. The world likes to freak out about the most insignificant of things. The kids were supervised and told what to say. If you read the full transcript you can see that their dad (I'm guessing) is making most of the transmissions, and the children are only giving basic, routine instructions. The pilots loved it, and the instructions were more clear and better articulated than a hell of a lot of ATC transmissions I've heard. Don't we have enough to worry about?

What? I know he was issuing take off clearance. As far as I know it isn't until you land afterward that the flight was a success and the people are safe. My point was that there was no harm done. Those planes took off, and eventually landed safely. If I were on one of those planes I wouldn't have cared who or how I got to my destination safely, as long as I got there.

It's not rare. It is not that unusual in some control positions to let some observers have a little fun saying some instructions.

Yes, it distracts the controllers, so do having observers asking questions.(I've been as a observer several times, and in very busy airspace).

So I don't see any issue on having the children transmitting, if it was an adult it would not get caught. What they should ask is if outside people shall be allowed to enter the control positions or not....
