Hunting is not bad if you kill on the first shot and you hunt for food not sport. It's silly to kill an animal for it's fur and leave it's meat behind.

I agree. I think people who get all their meat from hunting or by raising their own food are admirable. It's better than buying meat from a store, more environmentally friendly and the animals have a better life.

Agree. I don't like to think of the animals that are killed as trophies. Rather, I am very grateful to the animal that has died for my food, and I prefer to respect it by doing something meanignful with it's body. Meat becomes food, fur becomes warm clothing that doesn't use synthetic fibres (which creates pollution). "Look how tough I am, I killed an animal and I'll put it on my wall to show off" mentality is one I hate. I also hate when ppl kill animals that they don't need.

Omg, I have the Casper and Ferdie thing on a Casper tape o_o I absolutely HATE watching it because of Ferdie! That was an AWFUL short, the producers of that Casper clip must have really disliked children and wanted to make them cry. Because I did, and after two or three times of watching that tape, I could never watch it again. O_O

I thought the point was to show how hunting is bad, not to make kids cry, Besdies, tears never hurt. Crying is important and children should know how to cry, not bottle it up because its "better for them to be happy". Thats not natural.

I dunno, I think it may have scarred me a little, being as when I was little my absolute favourite movie was 'The Fox and the Hound', and my favourite animals were foxes, so I was completely horrified by the Casper thing--it gave me nightmares and bad dreams for weeks every time I watched it. o_o but yes, it definitely shows how awful hunting is, though I wonder if they couldn't have done it another way.

Its also important to remember that back in the early days of animation, cartoons weren't actually directed at children- but more at adults. They were only shown in cinemas before movies, or during special matinees.
