  • simply amazing rock....

  • muito locoomas a melhor musica do black sabbath e do dio é heaven & hell

  • if Ozzy wouldn't have been such a junky we would of never got these Dio Sabbath songs, but if Ozzy would have been more serious and straightened up his act abit he could of stuck around and perhaps have offered more to Sabbath and nowadays he wouldn't be viewed as such a joke. Ozzy after Sabbath was great and all but after Rhodes he went to hell.

  • Five people are lost children of the sea....HOW COULD ANYONE DISLIKE THIS!!!???

  • Man, Ronnie really sang his heart out there at the end!

  • RIP Dio (l) never forgot.

  • Always amazing. RIP RJD

  • \m/\m/ Miss you DIO

  • i forgot the key

  • when dio sang this song we threw away and locked the door run Run

  • EPIC....

  • für meinen Geschmack eines der besten Live - Alben überhaupt mit dem besten Metall - Sänger den es je gab

  • This is metal at its finest folks. RJD on the mike, and Vinnie on drums, Buttler on base, and Tony on guitar is a great line up. Love Ronnies lyrics, and Vinni's drumming and sound. Both powerful and very musical. True legends. Miss and will always miss RJD. \RIP/

  • This is one of the best Black Sabbath songs from the Dio era, and I think the live version has an extra touch or two of awesome.

  • i dont think the songs that dio sings were made for ozzy although ozzy could probably do them but this one i think best suits dio and i love this song! its one of my favorites poor angels lost their home and now rome

  • I dont know who came out with this idea that Dio cant sing the ozzy's sabath songs...he does it way better than ozzy altought ozzy did it great too in studio ..in the early years

  • @beroth77 In my opinion Ozzy does it best because the songs were written to suit his voice, but nonetheless, Dio does an absolutely fantastic job, and no one in their right mind will attempt to deny that.

  • @NightmareSnake technically the songs weren't written for ozzy, the band would write the other parts, then ozzy would find a way to sing over them. Just sayin, not tryin to be mean.

  • @57wookie Well Ozzy came up with the vocal melodies, and for a few of the songs even wrote the lyrics. Ozzy does those particular songs best, although Dio does do an excellent job, which is the reason I came to this video in the first place.

  • @57wookie Ozzy would basically sing along with the music, whereas Ronnie was a bit more creative. Some great songs came out of it, either way.

  • When i was in my teens i used to run this through my bass amp to piss the neighbors off

  • instead of a thumbs up it should be devil horns and no thumbs down cuz thats just impossible

  • @itsmiketehdrummerguy Dio will never die

  • this song is bone shaking

  • this song had the chea at this point every thing came togather one moment in time proving every cloud has a sivler lining or so it seems

  • How I wished this live version be released on video.

I'm always hoping for it even it's been this long.

  • Saw Heaven and Hell Tour in '80. There will never be anything close to the power of lyrics and sound this group put together - this was the high point of Rock and Roll!

  • Best version

  • @teddyqueen hell yeah!

  • bought live evil back in the day and all i can say is that the early 80s was a fantastic time for rock music and i lived it!!!

  • @worzel2005 I didn't :'( born in '95, all I can do is listen to this badass music, wishing I was born in the early 70's

  • LIVE|EVIL

  • BLISTERING VERSION OF AN AWESOME SONG.

  • Dio is one of the few vocalists I know of who is just as good live as in studio, Bobby Blitz from the thrash band Overkill being the only other one I know of.

  • as much as i love the Great Dio, John Michael Osbourne will always be my favorite of all Times

  • fucking monster tune , monster band and monster live sound it's like if sabbath's music was biological it would a fucking tyrannosaurus rex !!!! fucking brilliant !!

  • No matter how much I get into Tony's riffs, Dio keeps bringing me back in. RIP.

  • ozzy is equated with sabbath but Dio punks him out sooo bad in every song sang by ozzy. such a powerful voice and mega charisma. and on live evil, it appears that the sabbath boys play better also. LONG LIVE DIO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5:08 - 5:12....Fuck!

  • @MamaBessa Good call.

  • @MamaBessa Agreed.

  • This is my favorite version of this song. Maybe it's just the notes Ronnie hits near the end or how he builds up, I don't know exactly.

  • is there somewhere to find the whole concert with the video, please send me a reply .... thanks in advance

  • 3 people perfer to listen to Justin Bieber.. God i wish i was a teenager in the 60's - 70's

  • I want this song played at my funeral!

  • @bassman0704 Same here.

  • Música maravilhosa...

  • simplesmente perfeita

    by

    R.I.P DIO

  • This was the best version of this song ever, if I had 3 wishes this would be one of them: 1. I want to sing like this with ease forever...till I somehow cease to exist.

    2. I wish I could never die and had the power of superman with no weakness.

    3. I could bestow my powers on anyone I choose for as long as I want.

  • Epic vocal ownage at 5'08"

You worthless rap "singers" could only wish.

  • Comment removed

  • all i gots to say is fuck yea. this is what metal is all about

  • this songs fuckin heavy

  • Ronnie is now rocking heaven, together with Randy Rhoads, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury, John Lennon and Cozy Powell.

  • Honestly this version is better than the studio recorded.

  • @BeatleStone I do not agree. Sure Dio couldn't do Paranoid but Iron Man, War Pigs, and this one were awesome.

  • @BeatleStone Not really. Dio brought more life into vintage Sabbath songs and they were also up-tempo. Ozzy sang so incredibly bad that when Sabbath's Heaven and Hell came out, I thought to myself "Great, another shitty album with Ozzy trying to sing" but when I looked on the back cover and saw RJD as their new singer, I bought it immediately and noticed a HUGE difference in their playing. The Dio years with Sabbath were easily their best IMO. Live Evil kicks ass big time....

  • This is my favorite song of all fucking time! RIP Dio! \m/

  • This was my first Black Sabbath Album ever!! I honestly never heard much of Sabbath on the radio or knew any one that listen to them at the time. Still the best live ever done.

  • What a combo. THis driving riff from Tony and the singing of Dio. Wow. When i hear this song i can just picture giant waves hitting those tall ships and it's also a good tribute so many kids would have drowned at sea in our lifetime.

  • 25 yrs after my first met with this masterpiece...iam still speachless, Thanks!

  • They are actually still just jamming, you can hear their demo on the paranormal internet channel, or, if you really want to hear it without any supernatural interference, just drink some koolaid mixed with arsenicum.....bottoms up !! That would absolutely be an ultra-awesome band, to die for !

  • LONG LIVE RONNIE JAMES DIO!!!

    THIS VERSION IS AWESOME!!!

  • One of my fave tracks of all time.....Dio, keep on shinning in the skies !!!

  • @1969Metalmaniac i hear hes got a wicked band with randy rhodes, john bonham, and cliff burton now:)

  • @DethTilDeath69 dude that's the first thing i thought when Dio passed

  • @DethTilDeath69 why would Dio be playing with Randy? Makes no sense

  • @howardrevolution100 Because you're stupid. It would have made more sense if you asked "Why would he be playing with John Bonham?" because LZ is a completely different genre of music. So, in response: Why did Ozzy pick Randy?

  • @howardrevolution100 Because both are dead now. This guy was thinking of a perfect band in the hereafter.

  • @DethTilDeath69 RHOADS! DAMIT!

  • That Band would be fucking amazing!!!

  • Too bad Live Evil was one of Dios most hated albums

  • We miss you, Ronnie. You always understood that a Metal God's power came from the fans. You were always gracious and made time for the fans that worshipped your cannon-like voice. It made the mountains shake...and it always will.

  • If you think this is awesome, you need to listen to the whole solo Tony puts out on Heaven and hell

  • i alsways be sabbath fan ozzy rules

  • RIP RJD you will be missed

  • Alive or at peace, Dio is, and will always be, a Metal God. Your brilliance is missed...

  • @blancmel21 Brilliantly said dude! We Rock.

  • i dont know one man on the face of this earth that could sing like Dio. no one.

notice how i capitalized Dio but not earth. lol

  • of course is dio better then ozzy. and heaven and hell is one of the greatest albums ever written!!

  • RJD was a true rocker and metal god. You never, ever saw this guy wearing sunglasses on stage lest it interfere with his ability to deliver the message through his music. Just an observation.

  • @jdhammerdown

    Well said!

  • i chose a Dio live video and thouht it was a music video. wow this guy is awesome live

  • The vocals remind me of Stairway in places.

  • This was the absolute pinnicle of Black Sabbath.

  • RJD in questa opera vivrai per sempre !! :(

  • The best i heard so far from Black Sabbath.. LIve EVil ..... !!! \m\ ® ²›|=°¬

  • Ronnie J D - R.I.P.

  • so all of you dissing both singers should get a life and just enjoy this fantastic music they both left us to listen to...i know i will....i have my preferences on concerning both singers, and what sabbath was doing with both at their respective eras..conclusion..Sabbath Rules !,

  • here's what should be said to all that are arguing at who's better..ozzy or dio ...?

the fact is that they are 2 totally different vocalists , in style ,technique, stamina, stage presence, and ofcourse, songwriting...BUT,.. both are fantastic in all those aspects....Sabbath with Dio was chapter 2 in the great song book and history of Sabbath....Ozzy was the first chapter , and pioneer of where they would be headed..so there..that settles it..!!

  • One of my fave RJD songs, sadly missed :-((

  • I didnt begin to like Sabbath til RJD joined the band. Heaven and Hell, Mob Rules and Live Evil are the only sabbath LPs I ever listen to.

  • His voice.....what a loss....

    Rip Ronne,wherever you are....

  • We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will. - Chuck Palahniuk.. R.I.P Ronnie \m/ \m/

  • @Azzaland Well Said !!!!

  • RIP RJD!

  • I got high to this album everyday after school from 7th grade till freshman year. Good times.

  • i agree with stixx2000.however,

    geezer wrote what ozzy sang.

i love the ozman.he had a good run with the sabs...

but ronnie could sing like a muther!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R.I.P BROTHER RONNIE

  • I remember arguments over Ozzy and Dio...

  • Children of the Sea is both beautiful and terrifying at the same, just like Ronnie's voice.

    long live Dio.

  • RIP Dio

  • RIP Ronnie! You WERE Black Sabbath in my book

  • RIP Dio

  • R.I.P. RONNIE We love you.

  • RJD, a true singer of Heavy Metal. Thank you for all you have given us, you will be missed!

  • RIP Ronnie We'll miss you and thank you for all you did

  • hands down the greatest metal vocalist of our time -- thanks for the great times!

  • Ronnie James Dio is a metal GOD vocalist,I would like to thank God for having shared with us an awesome talented man.RIP RJD.

  • Ronnie James Dio R.I.P legend

  • R.I.P Dio, the greatest metal vocalist ever known ;(

  • bought this album when i was 13..used to crank this tune in the car with my bro as we cruised up and down the streets! oooo to have had a sub woofer back then!

  • The best version of this song ever. AWESOME

  • RJD and OO can not be compared. They have different styles and ranges that make them completely individual. We should be lucky to even hear RJD's "version" of the BS songs. But OO was the OG, and we will never forget that. RJD was able to carry on BS while OO did his own thing (rocked), and don't forget RJD in Elf and Rainbow also rocking......\m/ (THIS)

  • DIO is way better than ozzy on the vocals. No question. Live evil was the best ever.

  • @xman35459 notice how u capitalized Dio and not ozzy. lol

  • technically he is better than Ozzy

both are great but Children of the Sea is my favorite Sabbath's song

And Dio's solo albums are much better than Ozzy's

  • ozzys flow and style can never be matched so BOO to dio

  • I don't think its right to compare one as better than the other, they have different singing styles. I prefer Ozzy, myself

  • with dio boo, second to ozzy! yous obvioustly dont know much! You probably like ozzy cuz hes a celebrity and famous! fair enough Ozzys solo stuff is better than dios but dio is a far better singer and sabbath are much better with dio! and bruce is cool, but dio is slightly better, sorry!

  • ignorance is bliss.

Dio is about 2 feet tall and has a voice second to (almost) none. Bruce is the only one I can think of that can compare...

  • @EuroTrash1138 He is and always will be second to Ozzy.

  • Who the fuck else would be singing it ?????

  • @PHALANX100BC Barbra Streisand or a Deaf Bolivian, really anyone else is better.

  • incredible classic

  • it didnt get me into the heavy stuff but i used to listen to this in the dark on a walkman about ten. still sounds shit hot and tight as fuck for a live album.

  • I shit you not....this live album right here was what LEGITIMATELY got me into Black Sabbath....all eras...all singers....the whole gamut....I worshipped this album for like...two years straight once I had it in my mitts....

  • @setibevol88 THAT is a good thing to HAVE in your mitts!!

  • @setibevol88 Yeah man this is THE ALBUM, hell I remember the day I got it and where! this still puts almost all others to shame.

  • @setibevol88 Yeah this was my first intro into metal,i would plug on my headphones then and crank it to high and be taken into another dimension ....

  • @setibevol88

You took the words out of my mouth friend. Once I put the needle down, I was hooked.

    RIP Ronnie.

  • @setibevol88 Glad you like the Album and got into Sabbath. The Godfathers of Metal.

  • @setibevol88 Ronnie didn't got me into Black Sabbath, Ronnie got me into music in 1983 when I heard "Holy Diver" on the Dutch radio. Have a 2100+ CD collection. But it all started with Dio LP's.

(actually it started with the Rolling Stones in 1981 but hey, this is Ronnie James Dio, let's forget the Rolling Stones for a moment)

  • @setibevol88 Me too!!!! I've been worshipping this album for 27 years now!

  • @setibevol88 This album got me into Sabbath, and every heavy music. This is something really special. Earlier stuffs are great, but Dio...man... fantastic!!!

  • evil bass!

  • someone needs to make aquaman the rock opera using this song as the blueprint

  • THERE IS A SABOTEGE ...WHERE ??

  • DIO THEE PARE TIN PAE!

  • the depth of his voice..

    Τι φωνάρα ρε πούστη μου

  • @Atartee

    Μετά τον Dio τίποτα.

  • Where the fuck is this LIVE? I mean LIVE footage. Of THIS concert. Please.............

  • @tujungite i think its in paris but not sure.. look up a interwiew with dio on this live album or his time with black. and rock on!!

  • THX!!

  • total agree !!!!!

    i love this band and this album ! : ) ♥♥♥☺☻

  • my dad had this album and ive listened to it for as long as i remember. its great stuff!

  • You make me proud, "son".hahaha

  • Yeah , Heavy That's what I call Music ( Heavy Metal at it's Best ) Oh Yeahhhhhhhhh

  • 5:08 - 5:12

    Best moment in music history

  • Awesome.

  • I have this Album.(vinyl) The sound, like in this clip, is so lowd! Not the same with a C.D.

    It's a fkg good album!!

  • Vinny Appice added so much to this band.

He really gave them that Zeppelinesque rhythm section that emphasized their heaviness

  • Your right, I always thought fred flinstone sounded like bonham, and in a good way though with some of the heaven and hell or ozzy stuff is just ok, but I like his work on the mob rules, dehumanizer, and the devil you know.

  • Absolutely, and this was Vinny at like 22 years old! Man what rock drumming skill for that age.

  • Shit its heavy and good

  • bad quality sound

  • Aplastante

  • Great album!!!

  • Where the hell is the video for this? I just searched the net for almost an hour and can't find it. I realize there's other video, but those pale in comparison. I gotta have the video for THIS release.

  • no.

  • ne thing I was always fascinated witith the the album cover art.

It has the song "Heaven and Hell" represented by the angel and devil charachters, it has a voodoo priest to represent the song "Voodoo", It has a soldier in camo with a pigs head representing the song "War Pigs" and the very best song on the album is Neon Knights which is represented as the central figure.

And they are all "Children of the Sea".

    Best album cover in history.

  • Don't Forget the children using a coffin as a boat in the background. Maybe representing "Children Of The Grave" song. There's a strong man with body of steel representing Iron Man.

There's a sinister figure dressed in black also. Maybe representing the "Black Sabbath" song.

  • The floating coffin in the water is a combo of Children of the Sea, and Children of the Grave.

  • Black Sabbath its Black Sabbath

but Black Sabbath are Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezzer Butler and Bill Ward

    you bitches

  • Children of the SEA. Not grave.

  • I prefer Ozzy, but it's a very personal thing

  • not better, diferent. i can´t imagine ozzy singing heaven and hell, thats true. but i can´t also imagine dio singing war pigs or iron man

  • @stixx2000 u can t compare ozzy wif dio...but yea, ozzy is a joke compared to dio!
