1 and im having problems getting the lid to come off, i push the little button and i keep pushing it but the lid dont move >.<

The switchable LIDS are ONLY on Selected models so dont rush out and buy one check with the store manager first before you buy one i have a Dell this one in fact and mine hasen't got switchable LIDS.

I have this laptop and I do really like it... I could care less about the lids but I will say it's great value for the money. I got a pentium i5, 6 gb ram, 600gb harddrive with an ATI radeon 1gb card for dirt cheap compared to all the rest of the laptops out there. For those specs I would have had to pay twice the price. My only complaint is that it is a little bulky, it would be nice if it was a little thinner/lighter.  But I suppose that's why its so cheap.

It would be okay if they didn't have those big garish logos taking over the picture.

I would suggest one of those laptop skins instead. It's basically a large high quality sticker(I got one a couple years ago and it's as good as new still). Also they don't add extra bulk like I'm guessing the lids would.

i hate dells. they break so damn easily. i dropped it once, about 10 inches off the ground, and the edge piece, control button, and the front part of the screen was broken.

i dropped my toshiba down 3 flights of stairs, and it doesnt even scratch
