Dude it isn't rocket science, just scout go fast engineering bay and store with say 2 to 3 turrets depending on how sizable his Mutalisk force is, if he still persist from there just build goliaths, Goliaths just deal SO much damage to Mutalisks, we are looking at 1 Goliaths to a 2-3 Mutalisks here (Not Upgraded)
you know goliaths missles only do 1/2 dmg to mutalisks right..? with July's micro your goliaths will fall one by one before you can mass them :) 2~3 turrets are nothing to muta micro of jaedong or july

July is known for being THE BEST Muta Micro player in the world. Yes Jaedong might has 80% wining rate in ZvZ , but JulyZerg is definitely in the other 20%. Overall I think Jeadong is better player , but he is nowhere near JulyZerg , when it comes to Muta Micro.

WTH with up with these ppl saying counter that with a Science Vessel? Muta tech comes way earlier in the game than SV tech. And even if u did manage to get the tech in time you would probably have 1 SV and like 15 SCVs. You honestly think you can kill 9 mutas with 1 shot of irradiate?
since the mutas are stacked, yes, yes you can, not only that but if the zerg player splits them fast enough to save some of them, they're then easy pickings for the marines and turrets.
actaully progamers can seperate the irra'd muta almost instantly, and you'd be dead before you got sv coz you'd just sacrifice way too much, it'd be ridiculous counter. zerg would just do a fast switch to lurk/ling or whatever. or just include 2 scourge in their initial muta group...................
To stack mutas, just select your mutas and 1 larva. Then move them around until they're well stacked. You can also use an overlord instead of a larva.
While holding the Shift key, select your mutas (11 maximum, then click on the larva.. or overlord). Hope it helps :)
valkyries are hard to get, expensive, and are only good against mutalisks. frequently zerg players will stop making mutas after the first wave so it's not worth making valkyries just to fight one wave. Not to mention the fact that if you tech to valkyries this early, you're going to get owned within a few minutes because you have no military in comparison to them.
actually, it's cause you're sacrificing like.. 6 marines + 1-2 meds (valk+armory cost) for 1 valk.. which dont do much, since you need a couple for them to be useful if at all.. and they're easily picked off by scourages.. so you're sacrificing a whole army of mm (upgraded cause.. you know.. youre mm...) for 1-2 valks that won't even do much

You forgot Jaedong. Who has the best muta micro... Ever, possibly. Ever since I watched a first person video of him microing a stack of 22 mutas, macroing, and useing 2 other mutas to scout two different parts of the map for counter attacks at the same time, I lost all doubt.

Naw, bearachute, apparently Refinery's a "fack," or so joe says so. Seriously, it's not even true, players *don't* macro "while" muta microing. They take time going back and forth. You'll see on an fps video, he'll spend like 20 seconds microing, go back to base and spend 10 seconds on macro, then go back... But this video's pretty sweet. I think the first clip is amazing. But later on, some of it's just not that impressive... or are my standards too high?

WTH with up with these ppl saying counter that with a Science Vessel? Muta tech comes way earlier in the game than SV tech. And even if u did manage to get the tech in time you would probably have 1 SV and like 15 SCVs. You honestly think you can kill 9 mutas with 1 shot of irradiate?

since the mutas are stacked, yes, yes you can, not only that but if the zerg player splits them fast enough to save some of them, they're then easy pickings for the marines and turrets.

actaully progamers can seperate the irra'd muta almost instantly, and you'd be dead before you got sv coz you'd just sacrifice way too much, it'd be ridiculous counter. zerg would just do a fast switch to lurk/ling or whatever. or just include 2 scourge in their initial muta group...................

Select a group of mutalisks and one larva. The difference in ground to air fools the mutalisks and makes them hover in the same spot.

To stack mutas, just select your mutas and 1 larva. Then move them around until they're well stacked. You can also use an overlord instead of a larva.
While holding the Shift key, select your mutas (11 maximum, then click on the larva.. or overlord). Hope it helps :)

valkyries are hard to get, expensive, and are only good against mutalisks. frequently zerg players will stop making mutas after the first wave so it's not worth making valkyries just to fight one wave. Not to mention the fact that if you tech to valkyries this early, you're going to get owned within a few minutes because you have no military in comparison to them.

actually, it's cause you're sacrificing like.. 6 marines + 1-2 meds (valk+armory cost) for 1 valk.. which dont do much, since you need a couple for them to be useful if at all.. and they're easily picked off by scourages.. so you're sacrificing a whole army of mm (upgraded cause.. you know.. youre mm...) for 1-2 valks that won't even do much
