The rules are easy to grasp, but the game does have some good strategic elements.
It is aimed at younger kids, but that's on purpose. I see it as an entry-level dueling card game that will expand into deeper play in the future to grow with its players.
The rules are actually much less complicated than any other dueling card game out there--I designed the game to be very intuitive and accessible to kids and parents alike. Get a deck and check it out--less than $10, even after S&H, for countless hours of fun!

Most card games appeal comes from the difficulty and complex strategies. But these are generally targeted at older kids.
Since your main target would be younger kids, then I'm sure they will understand the rules, but that's just it. Only the younger children will be interested in it.
With complex TCG's, both young and older children can enjoy the fun.
