@fenixjpb Buffy was also suffering from severe post-traumatic stress from being ripped out of Heaven by her friends. Although she did horribly abuse and use Spike, he wasn't exactly a saint either--the first time they have sex immediately follows a violent fight in which Spike is mocking Buffy for "coming back wrong" and being a "lost little girl" who "no one loves". He also continued to harrass her, even after she made it clear that she didn't want to see him again.
