you admit that the wise know a fixed blade should always be used for the task, then you go on to bad mouth the co.? supply and demand meets darwins theory. the weak of mind demand it, benchmade of course is going to satisfy that demand, it fails the inferior user dies, the heard is cleansed. simple really. actually you need to stop alerting the idiots that would use this thing and just let nature take its course.
i bought two of these and took them with me when i deployed to iraq they are great for the first few months then they steadily stop working, the blade dulls quickly, i have one that fails to deploy and then fails to retract piece of crap. for $350 bucks you could buy a better knife
its a knife dude yes i know it is a peice of shit and a switchblade is not for military and law enforcment it is merly a thug or street knife and or a knife for a last ditch effort at protecting your self it is not a ka bar its a knife that is for killing and nothing else just somthing to kill with as a gangster would thing
@themegajosh09 Where do these idiots come up with this? Does it state that on the manufactures website? No it does not because that is a load of bullshit? Pure crap. No seller selling them has this, no one other than the forum morons and the village idiots say this short of shit. So enjoy your pea brain moron thoughts on things and live in your deluded world while the rest of us live in reality. The simple truth is that it is a piece of shit period.
@themegajosh09 It is not a safety feature and it can not deploy in your pants, it is suppose to take some force to trigger it. That is why Microtech models Piranha and every other OTF that is double action all don't have safeties because they really are not needed because of the tension on the trigger. This is the truth, not some BS crap about the spring for deployment.
@themegajosh09 Depends on the model. That is why I used dagger blades. This was specific to dagger blades, except for the MOD it has serious balls behind it and the tanto even kicks through, so those people with brains out there understand this, idiots with stupid ideas won't understand. So if you were using your brain you can clearly see by the knife I used and the experiment that MOD made the best lockup deployment out of all of them.
@Roadsideimports Holy shit fellas... K, First off, why the hell would you buy an auto knife anyway??? what is the reason for it when you can buy a folder that is WAY more sturdy and you can flick it out just as fast or faster???? without the restrictions everywhere... auto knives are pointless. Personally I loeve benchmade knives. I have several folders of their's and they are all built with quality materials and parts, and have amazing craftsmanship.
all this is some pure bullshit. for one, the "paper test" which i assume is to test the firing strength is totally irrelevant. the blade is SUPPOSED to stop. it is a designed safety mechanism to protect both the carrier and knife from accidental discharge damage. that is not just a benchmade thing, it is a standard with the high end companies that make otf knives (microtech is one of them.)
Alright. I'm a bit of an OTF virgin, so to speak. With all of the time you spend saying that X and Y brand can kick benchmade's ass, i expect you have one or two of these other brands laying around? well here you certainly give a good demonstration on how subpar the benchmade is by showing it jamming and by running through the mechanism. Well could you make a video (or link if you have already) a comparison doing the same for the benchmade once more, but also including these superior brands?
As for the deployment springs, they are strong enough for blade to reliably open/close even when mechanism is filled with water but blade will however not penetrate clothes (or paper) on opening - for safety reasons. The McHenry patented DA design is superb but some parts of the internal mechanism could in fact be improved - construction wise (but what couldn’t).
@808CraftsmanCo Amen to that, finally someone with a brain. Thank got you are out there, you give me hope that those of us with brains are not all alone in the world with these morons. Thank you for using your brain and doing some research.
The Infidel has its issues but poor deployment or weak internals are not among them. If you knew your mechanics you would realize what force its sears AND pins combination/setup is capable of withstanding (more than Piranha Excaliburs (or similar make/setup) for example). Sears, though thin, are completely captured within the handle so they can't bend but they are long enough to bear a lot of pressure without fear of deformation or shearing/damaging massive pins they pivot on.
@deepspot Where do you come up with this shite? That is complete and utter bollocks. The DA design is a rip off of Desert Knife Works Sand Shark for one thing and they did a PISS POUR job at it, Piranha and the Excalibur is far superior and Josh owner of Piranha did a good job with making a smaller version based off this design. Have you ever seen a Sand Shark, I got two of them and they KICK everyones ass hands down.
I love this bullshit about a safety feature, that is the biggest load of shit there is. No where in the patent does it state anything about a safety feature period. Pour deployment, give me a break go look at the other videos posted on youtube and some of them can't even engage when held straight up. Have you been smoking pencil shaving again? These idiot fanboys seriously have no knowledge at all on the subject.
Anyone with a brain would go buy a Microtech or a Piranha any day of the week and put anything made by Bitchmade in the garbage can where it belongs. The MOD Harkins is even in the league of awesome. Why do you think the price has dropped on the Infidel because I did this. If I was talking out my ass then why did they all of a sudden make single edge blades as well? All because of me and the truth. So go take your soap box and stick to your mall ninja crap on the forums.
Hi, i have bought from you before and love your store. Do you have the H&K otf Tumult for sale? Is it made by Benchmade? How does it compare to this and is it a good knife?
Junk, the Chinese models are better made. They basically took the Ultratech design and really didn't do anything with it other than make it much worse than even the Chinese, pretty sad, save your money and buy a Microtech model.
Okay I've searched as much as I can. I live in TN. My dad wants a stiletto switchblade. Is it legal to buy and keep in our house ? No one will be carrying it anywhere.
Only if you believe in your second amendment rights and demand you receive what the Supreme Court ruled on 2 months ago will you clearly understand the answer to it. Arms are not defined to one particular object, a knife is a tool and if they then claim it is a weapon then you can execute your 2nd.
I'm very impressed by this video. You really know your stuff and you did your research. Thank you very much for the information. I am never buying a Benchmade.
My only complaint with the video is the music. Its makes it really hard to hear what you're saying.
i use a benchmade infiedel 3300 bk in my daily work and i also have a Excalibur and that broke on my and now i have a scar on my hand but with the infedel it is sturdy but it is shitty for the price.
Generally i'm impressed with Benchmade knives, but I agree. I'd buy this knife for 50 bucks, but to place a 500 dollar price tag on that is ridiculous. Thanks for your video. You got a sub.
Also, what OTF would you recommend that is in the 40-80 dollar price range?
My video is disappointing? No the shitty knife that Bitchmade is disappointing and is a shameful piece of junk that is marketed towards people who deserve much better quality.
Seriously!!! What a piece of crap...I really like Benchmade knives. But this is just a sorry excuse for a knife and a very poor design. Get yourself a Microtech!!! Best OTF you'll find out there.
No I'm being honest about what a piece of shit it truly is. But see Benchmade fanboys are like arguing with Microsoft fanboys, there is no point to it because they have a brainwashed Jim Jones mentality.
So enjoy carrying around your silly knife with a butterfly on it. I would also like to see how many Marines and Rangers carry around knives with butterflies on them but that is apart of the don't ask don't tell policy.
Dude have you seen this knife in person or ever used it? its an over priced piece of shit!!! I put more trust in my $50 lightning OTF! benchmade makes a garbage knife then builds it up to be the best thing on the market! im sorry you cant see that!
@BabuyKaKiller i bought 1 benchmade knife and never went back. worst 200.00 i ever spent. i dont care if you make 30 bucks an hour or 300.00 an hour...advertising inferior quality garbage as superior cutlery is nothing but shameful marketing tactics...my $60.00 kershaw out preforms the "top of the line" trash the butterfly fanboys brag about.
The gear Box would convert a small bit of travel to a large bit of travel. So when you slide the thumb botton 1/4 Inch the spring loader would travel say 1.5 Inches giving you a hell of a lot more compression in just a tiny move of the thumb. 3300 Design only uses the thumb movement to compress the spring. That is the flaw, You need to convert the travel to more compression before it releases.
I have one more comment. If you where to take this design and put a powerful spring inside. And put the thumb switch on a gear box to increase the spring compression and minimize the travel you could have a lot more power. Just a little design flaw.
Did you smoke crack before you came to this conclusion you moron.
There is no such safety feature whatsoever and if someone told you this it is complete and utter bullshit.
Any spring system OTF will not engage the locking sears if something is in front of the blade but there are varying degrees.
This test proves that the Infidel has piss poor springs that in time will fail because it simply is underpowered and can't clear a simple piece of paper.
Hwhobbs your a fucking retard! does that safety mechanism also explain the quarter inch of blade lay this overpriced piece of shit has man get off benchmades dick you homo! you just feel bad that you spent $425 on a shit knife
I've got a Microtech Halo II and a Microtech Ultratech, I actually wanted to branch out to some other companies when the Infidel caught my eye. But I will look up the Piranha. Thank for the help.
They might as well be for the way it works, it is aluminum but the sears are garbage and if it does not have enough power to go through paper then in time it will have problem with lock up.
yes benchmade does suck if you take into account the hefty pricetag on their knives...but try telling that to benchmade fanboys and they throw a bitchfit.
That is one of the most accurate statements out there. Yes the Benchmade fanboys will cry and kick and scream and start calling everyone names. There is no reasoning with them and no sound arguments that can help your cause because they are close minded and won't listen to anything.
Benchmade didnt state that they recommend military or law enforcement use of the knife, simply that they will only approve sales to military or law enforcement because possessions of a double-edged knife or switchblade is illegal for civilians but not for military or law enforcement. They require proper law enforcement or military credentials upon purchase.
What even makes things even funnier is that I am being sued by Benchmade for defamation and trade libel. Meaning I am being sued because they feel I have posted false information that is damaging to their company and caused them lost sales do to me putting a boycott on their company.
I'm not worried anylonger I have 56 counts against me from Benchmade which I will post all the details soon. I lost $15,000 to lawyers and then they wanted $87,000 to litigate. I'm broke but I got Pro Bono now.
Couldn't agree more, I agree totally that a folder is more reliable and makes more sense but if you like the design then Microtech and Piranha are the best on the market by far. Then exactly what I said that a dagger is not useful, a drop point or tanto or wharncliff design is the best for a tool purpose. Glade to see like minded people with common sense out there and see that they agree that Benchmade is falsely advertising their junk products to people on top of the poor quality.
You are completely right. I agree with the point that Military applications for tactical combat is always going to be a fixed blade, a K-Bar in most instances hands down and the M-16 Bayonet. If a folding knife is ever used it would be for other purposes from standard day to day use but never a tactical combat situation. The fact Benchmade markets this crap to military personnel as a tactical knife is absolutely disgusting. Tool, yes appropriate, but then why a dagger?
I own the Infidel, I couldn't wait to get it and when I finally did, well you kniow the story looks nice but SUCKS for that price. If it were priced at two bills or so that would make more sense for that quaility. Also I noticed that blade itself is very flexible (not the link point between the handle and blade but the actual blade). Now should D2 be flexible? even at 0.118"???
The gun store I go to that USED to sell Benchmade doesn't anymore because they recently raised there minimum order dollar amount to an astronomical number. So the gun store owner told them to go screw after years of selling there products.
Can't make everyone happy, more people complain about trivial things these days but will sit through endless amounts of mind numbing commercials on TV and not worry that it insults their intelligence. Go figure, seems like no one is happy with anything unless they make complaints.
She was the manager, this was the recording of the transfer call. I called the direct number and the secretary transferred me to the manager of the distributors nonsense.
What a joke the company really is. Just wait for the new stuff I am about to post. You will be amazed at how corrupt Benchmade is as a company.
Some good info in the video but the visual sucked. You kept showing the same images over and over. I think the spring mechanism on the knife is a safety feature. It'll keep the owner from accidentally deploying it into something they didn't intend.
What ever the point was to show the knife in parts to examine the construction, the knife can't pass a piece of paper, it is simply junk.
This is not a safety feature at all. It is an underpowered spring system that is overpriced. Watch the comparison video of every other knife that is OTF. $460 price tag of complete junk. The Infidel is garbage period.
THis video is pure genius I have ordered a couple Infidels for customers THe first 1 that came in I of course opened it up expecting to find a BAD ASS KNIFE and instead found a OTF that is exactly as described in this video. I assumed it was just that particular knife that sucked ass granted being a AUto some just suck out of the box coming from Benchmade. (I've sold hundreds of MT,pir. and Pro-techs and NEVER had 1 that was under par at the very most maybe a scratch on the finish from shipping)
No they are not, a company who steals from other knife makers, kills small business in the US, looses the US military contract, and never won a Shot Show, huh? If they are so great then other people in the industry would have voted that they get awards at the Shot Show. So they have no wins whatsoever, why? They suck, and everyone who deals with them hates them as well. At least now Benchmade will be the only one selling their crap, so I hope this move makes them go bankrupt.
im completely disappointed, im sick of these corporate bastards overpricing low quality shit. im glade to see people that look past the name and buy a knife for its real quality
That's the point you are not listening to, the knife will not deploy or lock when the channel is dirty. Benchmade markets this to the military and if sand gets in the track or dirt or any pocket lint it will not function correctly and lock up when triggered. So lets see Iraq and Afghanistan both have alot of sand and they don't work right for the troops so that is a shame to market a $460 knife to guys protecting scumbags who rip them off. That is the truth whether you like it or not.
Sure it would restrict the operation but the channel is much more forgiving on a Microtech and it is built to extreme conditions, Microtech takes more time and thought to things and doesn't claim that they are tactical combat knives, they market as field tools and does not take advantage of military persons, that is a good American company with morals. Any sand in any knife would cause issues but the point is the marketing and the false claims which are dishonorable and disgusting.
Well, remember that when you support them you support a company who is dishonest to the US military, who falsely advertises their products, a company who steels custom knife makers designs and runs to the Patent Office with other people's designs, a company who destroys small knife makers and sellers in the US, and a company with no morals or values.
They've stolen numerous designs from Robbie Dalton that is a very obvious one. They advertise the Infidel as a combat tactical knife for the military which is complete absurdity because any Ranger or Marine would tell you that no OTF model is used for hand to hand only a full tang fixed blade would be used. So they falsely advertise and steal designs and this is a disgusting practice.
yea i bin checkin it out for a while now but, y does the blue one cost more then the purple one?...n sry about the price i was thinkin about microtech...
It all depends on which ones I have in stock, you tell me the specifics and commit to a purchase then I order it in direct for you. Microtech is awesome you won't have any issues with them at all, pure quality their stuff is like an art form.
You got it, make junk and make false claims that it is a tactical military knife and sell it for an outrageous price. Benchmade is a shameful company and it is justice that they lost the military contract to Gerber, that is why all their junk is now all over the place, I hope they go Bankrupt.
Whatever hotblogger, the knife can't even pierce a piece of paper and it is a dual edged blade. The $60 AKC Concord made it through, watch the Paper Test Video I have with all the models.
Benchmade is a disgraceful company who steals knife designs from people like Robbie Dalton for a good example. Then once they steal designs they run to the US Patent office like little bitches and make it so that even the person who created the knife can't even sell them anymore.
They don't win any Shot Shows at all. Why? Because no one likes them period. They are a bunch of fannies arseholes and everyone really in the knife world knows that they are thieves and falsely advertise and bully people with their corporate power and lawyers.
You are completely full of shit. The knife has an underpowered spring that can't pass through paper, the channel has no room for dirt or depris and if used in a combat situation...lets see like Iraq or Afghanistan it would fail do to the fact that sand exists, so marketing to service men in the field is a complete dishonor to the men who serve this country. Marketing junk to people who put their lives on the line for people here at home to take advantage of them is completely the worst.
The design is flawed and no way at all a tactical knife. Benchmade makes false claims that this is a military tactical knife when it is nothing more than a gimmick for an overpriced piece of junk that does not perform. A real Marine or Ranger would use a fixed blade for a tactical combat knife and they would use all others as a field tool. So lets pull our finger out our asshole and come back to planet earth and save the shit talk for the politicians.
i agree im just saying it is a safety feature i talked to a very knolagable dealer who contacted benchmade on why that is and they responded saying it was a purpose built safety feature.i know benchmade failed on this knife horably.
Well, that knife dealer who contacted Benchmade got a whole line of bullshit blown up their ass. There is no such thing as a safety feature option and if this is the case wouldn't they state this new state of the art concept? The solid truth is that it is a disgraceful marketing scam to deceive honorable service men into buying some junk that won't work. The troops are underpaid and have horrible conditions and don't deserve dishonest marketing aimed at them period. Benchmade simply are scum
There we go the truth should be told. The designs that they have they steal from custom knife makers, one good example is Robbie Dalton. Dalton only makes 500 to 600 in a run of knives and then moves on to the next project, so Benchmade jumps on and steals the designs and runs over to the US patent office and then get rights which then exclude even Dalton from selling the models again. That is a pretty disgusting way to do business. They do this to many knife makers and other companies.
They do, pretty distasteful way to run a business, no ethics or morals whatsoever. Benchmade is not well liked with the knife community when it comes to designers. Let me ask you why have they not won any Shot Shows? If Benchmade is so great, why do they not have any awards to reflect this? Answer, is simple no one at the show thinks people who are thieves of other designers deserves an award the original designer deserves the awards. Don't believe me look up and see who got awards.
you admit that the wise know a fixed blade should always be used for the task, then you go on to bad mouth the co.? supply and demand meets darwins theory. the weak of mind demand it, benchmade of course is going to satisfy that demand, it fails the inferior user dies, the heard is cleansed. simple really. actually you need to stop alerting the idiots that would use this thing and just let nature take its course.

I just got one new in the box for $225. I make big bucks so $225 isn't even enough to cover a bar tab.
"All look and no action" ?
WTF do you expect? How many of you armchair tough guys ever use a knife for anything more than cutting up dinner?
That's what I thought, ZERO.
BabuyKaKiller 2 years ago
The knife is suppose to be designed for military and law enforcement not armchair tough guys for one thing.
For the price it is a piece of shit period, it has inferior springs, the Italian NATO models have better action and they cost $60.
Microtech, Piranha, and MOD are by far the better models.
So if your bar tab is so much more then you should have saved the $225 for the tip to the waitress and bartender.
The fact still remains the Infidel is JUNK period.
Roadsideimports 2 years ago
@BabuyKaKiller i bought 1 benchmade knife and never went back. worst 200.00 i ever spent. i dont care if you make 30 bucks an hour or 300.00 an hour...advertising inferior quality garbage as superior cutlery is nothing but shameful marketing tactics...my $60.00 kershaw out preforms the "top of the line" trash the butterfly fanboys brag about.
tapout320 1 year ago
The gear Box would convert a small bit of travel to a large bit of travel. So when you slide the thumb botton 1/4 Inch the spring loader would travel say 1.5 Inches giving you a hell of a lot more compression in just a tiny move of the thumb. 3300 Design only uses the thumb movement to compress the spring. That is the flaw, You need to convert the travel to more compression before it releases.
McIFamilyVideos 2 years ago
I have one more comment. If you where to take this design and put a powerful spring inside. And put the thumb switch on a gear box to increase the spring compression and minimize the travel you could have a lot more power. Just a little design flaw.
McIFamilyVideos 2 years ago
Ok so what price did they sell it for in the shopping cart? And what is the lowest price you can find a 3300 for?
McIFamilyVideos 2 years ago
That paper test you did is a response to the built in safety mechanism so it doesn't stab your leg in your pocket.
Did you test it before or after you took it apart.
Fuckin idiot.
hwhobbs 2 years ago 5
Did you smoke crack before you came to this conclusion you moron.
There is no such safety feature whatsoever and if someone told you this it is complete and utter bullshit.
Any spring system OTF will not engage the locking sears if something is in front of the blade but there are varying degrees.
This test proves that the Infidel has piss poor springs that in time will fail because it simply is underpowered and can't clear a simple piece of paper.
Roadsideimports 2 years ago
Hwhobbs your a fucking retard! does that safety mechanism also explain the quarter inch of blade lay this overpriced piece of shit has man get off benchmades dick you homo! you just feel bad that you spent $425 on a shit knife

Wow, this really opened by eyes. I was considering getting one of these. Thanks for saving me money man.
Outdrawn 2 years ago
No problem, if you are going to spend the money on an OTF in the $400 range then go with a Piranha or Microtech and you will not be disappointed.
Roadsideimports 2 years ago
I've got a Microtech Halo II and a Microtech Ultratech, I actually wanted to branch out to some other companies when the Infidel caught my eye. But I will look up the Piranha. Thank for the help.
Outdrawn 2 years ago
are those things in a plastic casing
richardtobyjess 2 years ago
They might as well be for the way it works, it is aluminum but the sears are garbage and if it does not have enough power to go through paper then in time it will have problem with lock up.

nunchaku101 2 years ago
yes benchmade does suck if you take into account the hefty pricetag on their knives...but try telling that to benchmade fanboys and they throw a bitchfit.
pocketbanana 2 years ago
That is one of the most accurate statements out there. Yes the Benchmade fanboys will cry and kick and scream and start calling everyone names. There is no reasoning with them and no sound arguments that can help your cause because they are close minded and won't listen to anything.
Roadsideimports 2 years ago
Benchmade didnt state that they recommend military or law enforcement use of the knife, simply that they will only approve sales to military or law enforcement because possessions of a double-edged knife or switchblade is illegal for civilians but not for military or law enforcement. They require proper law enforcement or military credentials upon purchase.
DragonflyInnovations 2 years ago
What ever they market the knife to the people who can legally buy it that is not rocket science genius.
It is not illegal to purchase a switchblade in many states in the US and you do not have to be military or law enforcement at all.
The state determines the law on the sale of items, there is the Federal Act to consider if you buy direct.
So those in Oregon are allowed to buy them because of the Benchmade company location but this is not stated. It is clearly marketed.

Roadsideimports 3 years ago
Couldn't agree more, I agree totally that a folder is more reliable and makes more sense but if you like the design then Microtech and Piranha are the best on the market by far. Then exactly what I said that a dagger is not useful, a drop point or tanto or wharncliff design is the best for a tool purpose. Glade to see like minded people with common sense out there and see that they agree that Benchmade is falsely advertising their junk products to people on top of the poor quality.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
You are completely right. I agree with the point that Military applications for tactical combat is always going to be a fixed blade, a K-Bar in most instances hands down and the M-16 Bayonet. If a folding knife is ever used it would be for other purposes from standard day to day use but never a tactical combat situation. The fact Benchmade markets this crap to military personnel as a tactical knife is absolutely disgusting. Tool, yes appropriate, but then why a dagger?
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
the video I just posted goes along well with this one. Except I don't even have to put paper up to mine to make it jam.
jamiedm4 3 years ago 9
I own the Infidel, I couldn't wait to get it and when I finally did, well you kniow the story looks nice but SUCKS for that price. If it were priced at two bills or so that would make more sense for that quaility. Also I noticed that blade itself is very flexible (not the link point between the handle and blade but the actual blade). Now should D2 be flexible? even at 0.118"???
diggumsmack2 3 years ago 6
The gun store I go to that USED to sell Benchmade doesn't anymore because they recently raised there minimum order dollar amount to an astronomical number. So the gun store owner told them to go screw after years of selling there products.

Interesting video but the music drowns out the voice and is distracting. I would watch the whole thing if I didn't have to listen to a drum banging.

Some good info in the video but the visual sucked. You kept showing the same images over and over. I think the spring mechanism on the knife is a safety feature. It'll keep the owner from accidentally deploying it into something they didn't intend.
ingalsbejs 3 years ago
What ever the point was to show the knife in parts to examine the construction, the knife can't pass a piece of paper, it is simply junk.
This is not a safety feature at all. It is an underpowered spring system that is overpriced. Watch the comparison video of every other knife that is OTF. $460 price tag of complete junk. The Infidel is garbage period.

Roadsideimports 3 years ago
THis video is pure genius I have ordered a couple Infidels for customers THe first 1 that came in I of course opened it up expecting to find a BAD ASS KNIFE and instead found a OTF that is exactly as described in this video. I assumed it was just that particular knife that sucked ass granted being a AUto some just suck out of the box coming from Benchmade. (I've sold hundreds of MT,pir. and Pro-techs and NEVER had 1 that was under par at the very most maybe a scratch on the finish from shipping)

benchmade is a dam good company and makes excelent knives.
kman12345678910 3 years ago
No they are not, a company who steals from other knife makers, kills small business in the US, looses the US military contract, and never won a Shot Show, huh? If they are so great then other people in the industry would have voted that they get awards at the Shot Show. So they have no wins whatsoever, why? They suck, and everyone who deals with them hates them as well. At least now Benchmade will be the only one selling their crap, so I hope this move makes them go bankrupt.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
im completely disappointed, im sick of these corporate bastards overpricing low quality shit. im glade to see people that look past the name and buy a knife for its real quality
balkastalkman 3 years ago 5
first of all is the knife made to deploy through sutff?.. who cares about the power of the spring, at least it opens and locks.
jakeav11 3 years ago
That's the point you are not listening to, the knife will not deploy or lock when the channel is dirty. Benchmade markets this to the military and if sand gets in the track or dirt or any pocket lint it will not function correctly and lock up when triggered. So lets see Iraq and Afghanistan both have alot of sand and they don't work right for the troops so that is a shame to market a $460 knife to guys protecting scumbags who rip them off. That is the truth whether you like it or not.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
so if sand gets on a microtech's track it wont screw it up?...
jakeav11 3 years ago
Sure it would restrict the operation but the channel is much more forgiving on a Microtech and it is built to extreme conditions, Microtech takes more time and thought to things and doesn't claim that they are tactical combat knives, they market as field tools and does not take advantage of military persons, that is a good American company with morals. Any sand in any knife would cause issues but the point is the marketing and the false claims which are dishonorable and disgusting.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
ok i understand, but i still like benchmade's knives, maybe not there otf but i like some of their other stuff.
jakeav11 3 years ago
Well, remember that when you support them you support a company who is dishonest to the US military, who falsely advertises their products, a company who steels custom knife makers designs and runs to the Patent Office with other people's designs, a company who destroys small knife makers and sellers in the US, and a company with no morals or values.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
how do they falsly advertise their products ? and they dont steal other ppl's knive desighns...
jakeav11 3 years ago
They've stolen numerous designs from Robbie Dalton that is a very obvious one. They advertise the Infidel as a combat tactical knife for the military which is complete absurdity because any Ranger or Marine would tell you that no OTF model is used for hand to hand only a full tang fixed blade would be used. So they falsely advertise and steal designs and this is a disgusting practice.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
well anyway with benchmade in mind, i was lookin at tht pirana excaliber, its like $450, is it worth it?...
jakeav11 3 years ago
It is $385 don't know where you saw the $450 mark on my website. It is a well made model you should also look at the MOD Harkins Triton.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
yea i bin checkin it out for a while now but, y does the blue one cost more then the purple one?...n sry about the price i was thinkin about microtech...
jakeav11 3 years ago
It all depends on which ones I have in stock, you tell me the specifics and commit to a purchase then I order it in direct for you. Microtech is awesome you won't have any issues with them at all, pure quality their stuff is like an art form.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
so say i wanted to ordr one of those piranha's , how would u ship it and how much would shipping cost?
jakeav11 3 years ago
All is relative to where it is going. US shipping is $5 and International orders are $15

Razor9350 3 years ago 4
You got it, make junk and make false claims that it is a tactical military knife and sell it for an outrageous price. Benchmade is a shameful company and it is justice that they lost the military contract to Gerber, that is why all their junk is now all over the place, I hope they go Bankrupt.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
Well, considering how bad their knives are, that might just happen.
Razor9350 3 years ago 5
This comment has received too many negative votes show
hmmmm..dunno if i'd totally agree
i think they've got some of the best tactical folders in the world..which makes me wonder even more why the infidel is so awful
hotblogger 3 years ago
Whatever hotblogger, the knife can't even pierce a piece of paper and it is a dual edged blade. The $60 AKC Concord made it through, watch the Paper Test Video I have with all the models.
Benchmade is a disgraceful company who steals knife designs from people like Robbie Dalton for a good example. Then once they steal designs they run to the US Patent office like little bitches and make it so that even the person who created the knife can't even sell them anymore.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
They don't win any Shot Shows at all. Why? Because no one likes them period. They are a bunch of fannies arseholes and everyone really in the knife world knows that they are thieves and falsely advertise and bully people with their corporate power and lawyers.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
benchmade added a safety mechanism so you can open it and acidently have your hand in front and not stab half way through your hand.
its suposed to be that way
flabazoid 3 years ago
You are completely full of shit. The knife has an underpowered spring that can't pass through paper, the channel has no room for dirt or depris and if used in a combat situation...lets see like Iraq or Afghanistan it would fail do to the fact that sand exists, so marketing to service men in the field is a complete dishonor to the men who serve this country. Marketing junk to people who put their lives on the line for people here at home to take advantage of them is completely the worst.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
The design is flawed and no way at all a tactical knife. Benchmade makes false claims that this is a military tactical knife when it is nothing more than a gimmick for an overpriced piece of junk that does not perform. A real Marine or Ranger would use a fixed blade for a tactical combat knife and they would use all others as a field tool. So lets pull our finger out our asshole and come back to planet earth and save the shit talk for the politicians.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
i agree im just saying it is a safety feature i talked to a very knolagable dealer who contacted benchmade on why that is and they responded saying it was a purpose built safety feature.i know benchmade failed on this knife horably.
flabazoid 3 years ago
Well, that knife dealer who contacted Benchmade got a whole line of bullshit blown up their ass. There is no such thing as a safety feature option and if this is the case wouldn't they state this new state of the art concept? The solid truth is that it is a disgraceful marketing scam to deceive honorable service men into buying some junk that won't work. The troops are underpaid and have horrible conditions and don't deserve dishonest marketing aimed at them period. Benchmade simply are scum
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
i know this knife sucks and the blade is week thats wy i bought a microtech instead
flabazoid 3 years ago 4
There we go the truth should be told. The designs that they have they steal from custom knife makers, one good example is Robbie Dalton. Dalton only makes 500 to 600 in a run of knives and then moves on to the next project, so Benchmade jumps on and steals the designs and runs over to the US patent office and then get rights which then exclude even Dalton from selling the models again. That is a pretty disgusting way to do business. They do this to many knife makers and other companies.
Roadsideimports 3 years ago
do they really
flabazoid 3 years ago
They do, pretty distasteful way to run a business, no ethics or morals whatsoever. Benchmade is not well liked with the knife community when it comes to designers. Let me ask you why have they not won any Shot Shows? If Benchmade is so great, why do they not have any awards to reflect this? Answer, is simple no one at the show thinks people who are thieves of other designers deserves an award the original designer deserves the awards. Don't believe me look up and see who got awards.
