2 weeks ago I bought Engelhard prospectors on ebay US, they looked prooflike. They are fakes ! About 30 grams, slightly larger in diameter and much thicker. I was issued a fast refund, but still ~ buyer beware. Ebays silver bullion is now in ruins with all that CRAP they are allowing to sell.

HI Drutter. have u looked at ebay silver lately. Over a year ago, it was 100 mills silver. then, 500 mills silver, only to be replaced with silver clad for all those that haven';t a clue of what they are buying. Anyway, now, its 999 silver stamped on the bars with NO indication, except through the ebay ad that its really copper under silver coat. I just worry that in years time, people will be selling this silver without ITS PAPER DISCLAIMER on ebay to the sheep. Whats next, fake silver?

So you are paying 36 CND for Canadian Maples and the spot price is under 30 USD. That is an amazing spread in price. Not a good sign for the US dollar.

I'm in Canada, where the price hasn't really changed. The silver spot chart is priced in USD, which are on the rise as people flee the stock market and Euro. As USD rises, everything priced in it SEEMS to become cheaper. The metal sale is on in the USA, but elsewhere the price is exactly where it has been for weeks. Locally I'm paying 36 CND per Maple when I buy in bulk, while spot price is under 30 USD.
