She (Ren), has a chain on the triangle on her collar because the DearS are slaves. In their mind, they are literally slaves. Once you see Miu (the one with LONG pink hair) get to her house, you'll know what I mean, she's always asking if she can do something for the people that took her in. And Ren, is always trying to do SOMETHING for Takeya.

The end of the anime is to show how everything turned out, Takeya and Ren became special friends :D

If there is, you are probably going to wait a loooooong time for an english version. Geneon (the American distributer of Dears) got out of the anime distributing business last November. They will not be releasing ANY anime in the future. Not even the dvd sets they had started but not finished. So unless someone like maybe ADV films picks it up, you will sadly be s.o.l. :(

Frankly, I can't stand this anime. I hate the teacher, Ms. Mitsuka, who's unearthly slutty, although I do find hilarious that there isn't a single person who actually gets aroused by her innuendos and showy clothing.
