i was doing the same thing buying 0-3month and a lot of people told me not to that it better to buy 3-6 month it will last a little longer. So i too there advice.
i went a day over due and my son weighted 8lbs 11 ozs and he fit in to new born and he was/is swimming in 0-3 months clothes and my oldest was 4 weeks early and weighted 7lbs 11 ozs and so you never know but i would to be on the safe side
I'd get more of the next size up clothes. My daughter grew out of her newborn clothes REALLY fast and she's always been bigger. Btw, you look great. I wish you a quick labor and healthy baby :)
Usually when you have a baby they say they are closer to the mom's birth weight and that was true for me. My son was 7pounds 9oz and I was 7pounds 6oz. He was in newborn for a while, but I say buy them and keep the receipts so just in case you can return them.
HE COULD COME LIKE NEXT 2 WEEKS OH MY GOODNESS!!..haha@ginormous baby..girl it is what it is my baby was a preemie and she is now a lil fatty girl haha..to me..since there might be a possibility of you having a bigger lb baby dont get newborn baby clothes for boys they grow fast and need more room i would say get 0-3 ..no more newborn clothes..
@MamiYare I know! Crazy. I hope he does. I'm starting to feel like an 80-year-old woman. And yeah, I have a really good amount of 0-3 and 3-6. I'll probably just go out and buy more newborn if needed once he's here.
my daughter was 8 pounds at birth and we went through NB clothes quick. we did try to use all the NB clothes but we bought so much. I think you should have some NB clothes but not to the point where it takes up even a quarter amount of the closet space.
No one should say getting induced is awful because everyone is different. I had the best experience getting induced so dont get discouraged. We are not all the same. Congrats on your baby :)
Ok mi first baby only used newborn for a few days soooo buy the 0 to 3 months , i was induce the first time and plan to be induce this time toooo , im 34 weeks like you congrats and good luck .
Jackson was 9lbs 12oz, and he wore Newborn clothing for about 2 weeks before we switched to 0-3 months. And try not to get induced! (its up to you, I know! but getting induced is awffffffffullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll)
@tapdatash Okay! Well, that's not that bad. I was thinking he'd be in newborn for like a day or something, haha. I'm hoping I don't have to. I've really been thinking I'll go around 38 weeks for some reason. I hope I do because this back pain and shit is getting old. :(
I bought 3 or 4 newborn onesies and then when she is born my partner will go and buy a few more. I bought 0 - 3. They are often quite far out with the weight so I didn't want to buy too much that may not fit. My friend had a 9.2 pound baby and she wore newborn clothes for 3 weeks and then out grew them so I'm using that as a guideline.
@tapdatash I'm stupid and don't really know what's a good amount to have? Like I said, I have a few newborn onsises and PJ's and like two pants. 0-3 and 3-6 I have a few pairs of pants, like 20ish onesies. Then everything above that I have a few things but not a lot.
new borns are the more returned at my work even when women arent carrying bit they say they either never used new born clothes or only used it for a little.
@emorrell21 They're jeggings (even though they seriously don't feel like it at all and look/feel like regular jeans) from Aeropostale. :) I got them around Christmas time last year though so I'm not sure if they have them anymore.
my kids were almost 8lb and they were far too small for 0-3mo clothes. although they werent in NB for long. maybe buy a few NB pj's just to hold you over but keep the tags on?
@emorrell21 Yeah, I have a few newborn PJ's too. I just forgot to mention it in the video. :) I'll probably just wait to see how big he is and then run out to the store when I have him if I need more.
I was 10lbs and 11oz when I was born. I was before my due date and my mom had to be induced. She was in labor for an entire weekend before I got distressed and they had to give her a c-section.
I think you'll be fine with what you have for newborn clothes...I've seen so many different preggo vlogger's videos that they bring newborn clothes to the hospital and baby doesn't fit into them. Btw, love love your videos! I've been watching since I found out I was preggo too =)
@srheldr Aw, thanks so much! And okay, yeah I think that's what I'm gonna do. I'd rather have to make a quick trip to the store rather than return stuff. :)
Hey Erin, I was just wondering if you will be making a diper bag and hospital bag video in the weeks to come :D as im always interested on what people pack. So when i come to that point i will know what to pack hehe. Your baby bump is lush :D
@mentalemma Aww, haha! Thank you! :) And yep! Diaper bag video in probably about 1-2 weeks and hospital bag video in about 3ish...maybe 4. Only because a lot of the stuff I'll be putting in my hospital bag, I use everyday.
i was induced at 37 weeks my son was 9lbs 8oz he didnt fit in newborn i would say your fine with what you have 0-3 mon should fit just fine oh yeah dont buy newborn diapers either or at least not a big box buy size 1 already.
@ecoronado24 Holy cow! I can't imagine how big he would've been if you went to 40 weeks! Did your stomach measure big at your appointments? Yeah, I kept the one box a friend got for us and then the others we have were opened because my other friend's son grew out of them. My one friend is having a baby in February so if we have any NB diapers left over I'll just give them to her. :) Thanks for the help!
@ErinandBaby yes! i always measured big and they even told me he was only going to be @6 lbs thats when i went into depression!! i gained about 40lbs im 5'7 i was huge... i lost all the weight in 2 months.. im now pregnant with my daughter and also measuring big but im below 20lbs gained due oct. 28 so might not be as big this time @ hope not since i delivered naturally with the help of and epidural !!!! hahaha

I would buy a few newborn things just incase. Maybe like 4 outfits. And if you don't use them you can bring them back to the store.
leahmcooke 6 months ago
@leahmcooke I already have about 5 onesies, 4 pants and like 3 or 4 sleepers but I just don't know if I should get more than that.
