  • All I can think about is the office episode where they make the tv ad

  • you gotta do these vids without the theme music buddy ;)

    good jig though,thanks

  • O.K. How about an internal key on the lathe... I have in 1/16ths up to 3/8 in broaches but I had to make a 7/8" internal in a sprocket one time... Can you guess how I did it?

  • Nice idea. If you wanted you could use it to drill the shaft by putting a drill in the lathe chuck/spindel. Just incase you wanted to cross drill it for any reason.

  • Jig looks good. So how did you make the tester?

  • A real machinist... love these sort of tricks...

  • Well, I was going to go cut some keyways, but now for some reason I feel like running in slow motion.

  • What a great idea I can't wait to make my attachment, again thank you

  • Great video, except for the disracting music.

  • Thanks for posting Sir,. great video

  • Biggest complaint is the Chariots of Fire music. But the content is great!

My problem is getting the little piece that fits into the tool holder.

  • @trailbusterbrute

Great tip. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make this clip

  • I cannot change the video with the music as it was generated with windows movie maker and I do not have the original to remake it sorry.

  • Unreal mate thanks for the video

  • Great video

    thanks

  • Nice job, now lets see you broach a keyway in a in a small bore on a lathe. I bet a sharp guy like you could figure it out.

  • Great idea, great instructions! I WILL be making your jig. thank you!!

  • Great vid ! Do you also have a jig to cut internal keyways ? That would be awesome ! Thanks again :D

  • These are the things I want to do in my shop, and because there are no schools here for machining, I learn through observing then practice...thie works for me.

  • I find it faster on my lathe then on my mill !!!

  • why not use a miller.??

  • Good idea.

Just a reminder to any of you fellas who may want to copy this jig, make sure you remove the fixture from the lathe as he did before doing any welding. The weld will try to gound through you your spindle bearings and the little arcs will ruin them.

Nice job and thanks for the idea!

  • Very nice video and very helpfull. I will do such a metall thing for myself.

  • Nice video, Dad!

  • Great tip...simple and to the point. Thanks for sharing. --John--
