Few people understand that by the end of the war Argentine military capacity remained almost intact while the British fleet, despite having such skilled men, was a wreck due to our Air Force and the weather. Argentina had ships as modern as the Brits, so had we counter attack on 12 July for instance, the brits had been annihilate. Those tiny islands werent worth the bloodbath that lunatic Thatcher pretended to save her bottom.
So Argentina didnt lose, she just stopped fighting.

i know you guys got your brain washed but if you make some research you would find out that the british losses were higher than your gov admitted after the war, we almost screw your naval forces to the point that your gov had to hide the attack to the HMS Invencible, and in ground the real number of british soldiers killed is 1030 not 255.

En una Entrevista a Robacio, el dice que tuvo contactos con comandantes ingleses y segun los propios ingleses las bajas britanicas triplicarian a las argentinas. un ejemplo que dio este oficial ingles se dio en el ataque al monte Tumbledown donde este relata que tenia aproximadamente tres companias de 150 hombres de los cuales en una compania solo 25 hombres llegaron en pie el resto fueron muertos mutilados o heridos. esta entrevista esta aca en youtube.

Según documentos gubernamentales desclasificados por los Archivos Nacionales del Reino Unido...
Thatcher estaba preocupado por que la Fuerza Aérea y la Aviación Naval argentinas hundieron 7 barcos, dejaron fueran de combate 5 y averiaron otros 10.
Por esa y otras razones, Thatcher pedía ayuda militar y medidas para asfixiar a la economía argentina.

My respect for both sides involved. War is a terrible thing and only those who participated in this war have the right to talk and comment about it. The rest of us posting silly comments in here are just net-warriors and i doubt most of us would have the courage and guts to stand in a real war like those brave men did!! In my personal opinion the bravest and most skilled men involved were the Argentine pilots who showed professionalism skill and courage against all ods! RIP all of you!

08/06/82: 162 british died .Ataque en Fitz Roy. Son hundidos: HMS Sir Galahad (89 died), HMS Sir Tristam (40 died), lanchón de desembarco (LCU) Foxtrot (10+ died) (aunque no estaba lleno de soldados, debido a que transportaba material logístico, las bajas pueden ser mayores). Mueren (8died) chinos en la playa, debido a los fuertes bombardeos.
Es dejado fuera de combate el HMS Avenger (5 died). Ataque al HMS Plymouth en Bahía Agradable (10 died)

Totalmente de acuerdo tu reconocimiento a los pilotos cuyo valor y capacidad fue reconocido en todo el mundo. No obstante, yo sólo apuntaría que se enfrentaron al Reino Unido, ya que en el caso de Chile sólo brindo asistencia al eventual movimiento de tropas en su propio territorio, mientras que USA sólo entregó misiles Sidewinder para los Harriers y Sea Harriers, pero no participó directamente.

Our country' s people pride? It is in the fact that we faced the NATO, we sank their high tech ships, we shoot down their planes etc etc at the cost of very little (in military terms). By the and of the war the British fleet was a wreck while our military power remained almost intact. THERE IS OUR PRIDE.

Few people understand that by the end of the war Argentine military capacity remained almost intact while the British fleet, despite having such skilled men, was a wreck due to our Air Force and the weather. Argentina had ships as modern as the Brits, so had we counter attack on 12 July for instance, the brits had been annihilate. Those tiny islands werent worth the bloodbath that lunatic Thatcher pretended to save her bottom.
So Argentina didnt lose, she just stopped fighting.

i know you guys got your brain washed but if you make some research you would find out that the british losses were higher than your gov admitted after the war, we almost screw your naval forces to the point that your gov had to hide the attack to the HMS Invencible, and in ground the real number of british soldiers killed is 1030 not 255.

So lets see, all the countries refused to sell us weapons, nobody helped us besides the peruvians with a couple of aircrafts, we only had 8 mirage, 5 exotec missiles, yes only five and without the technology to operate them since the french refused to send it, and we had trashy bombs from the WWII. The soldiers in the islands were mostly 17,18 and 19yo conscripts with summer unifroms and no food. And we still almost beat you.

Chile invited you to install radars and spying equipment all over the border with argentina so you everytime one of our aircrafts were taking off you noticed it, plus chile movilazed all their army to the border, forcing us to keep our best soldiers on the border too.
