Great idea regarding making baked bacon and freezing it for later use! Lovely breakfast! Still catching up trying to watch all your 1000 plus videos. I'm watching in no particular order just what interests me at the time. I hope you have some interesting field trips planned in your next 1000 videos.
@weeknightingale Hi Karolyn, Thanks for your lovely comment! Yes, I will be having some field trips coming up--there are still a lot of interesting places to go and things to do in Kentucky!
When I make instant cocoa I only put in half the water and stir well until combined, then add the rest of the water and stir. Easier to combine that way. Small mug-sized whisks are hard to find but I really enjoy mine.
@bettyskitchen love your shows, wish you were my mom. Did your son make that wood clock on counter top in woods class? I made one identical in high school and its on my moms mantle. BTW all your recipes and advice are "eggs"cellant lol
@MrFluffy7140 It will be fine to add all 5 egg yolks and whites; I only use more whites than yolks to save on fat and calories (but it's a small savings!).
I just noticed in this video you have an instant water tap...we have one too :) The hot water kettle been tucked away in the cupboard ever since we moved into our new house since.
I love how you leave the whole recipe below every video. Thank you for all that you do. You are a great inspiration. You have been an amazing help on helping me learn how to cook a wide range of foods. God Bless YOU!!
@MrFluffy7140 you can add a teaspoon of water..it gives some fluffiness to the eggs...i do it all the time..especially when we run out of milk..:)Hope this helps..
i wanna make some eggs but i wanna make it different is there anything that i can put in it?? like some kind of sauce or lemon juice? idk if it would be good
@y2jallrealgangsta You can get a spicy taste by adding a little bit of hot sauce to the eggs before your scramble them. Or, you can add chili powder and cumin for a "Mexican" flavor. Add oregano and basil for an Italian flavor. You can also chop up some red and green peppers and add onions, if you like that.
@huyytharr My hair stylist has 2 beauty shops in London, Kentucky, and he comes to our town, Richmond one day a week for his clients. His name is Donnie Lee Philpot, and he is the best! I usually do my hair on a daily basis, but he does the cut, which looks nice when *he* styles it! Thanks for the compliment!
are u on diet betty? i can never drink sugary drinks , 1 glass would ruin my diet. i'll end up drinking 10 glasses. and please please please, tell me your daily typical menu. im on reduced carb / sugar diet. thanks
@lovexoxohug Hi! I eat lots of fruits and vegetables and protein, and I try to avoid a lot of fat and sugar. I have an example diet on the video of granola bars in bettyskitchen.
Hi Betty! I have a problem when I cook scrambled eggs. You see, I always like them to be soft so I take them out of the pan a little earlier but sometimes, their edges are a little crispy. Do you have any tips on how to solve that?
@DeathlessWhispers The edges won't be any different from the rest of the eggs if you will stir throughout the cooking process. I keep the heat medium high and just keep scrambling the eggs throughout the cooking process. You can put them on a plate when they are still a little soft.
Konnichiwa (hello in Japanese) Betty, have you ever try making scrambled eggs with chives or green onions? They add really great-tasting flavors to it! ;D
@sselerac Hi! Thanks for your nice comment! I slice the oranges and leave the rind on, just because it looks nice and holds the slice together. Then I just pull the peeling off as I eat it!
As a bachelor who is just now graduating from eating out of a can all the time to actually learning to cook, this is just what I needed. Thanks for posting this.
Your idea to freeze cooked bacon is really helpful. The frozen bacon tastes great when thawed and used. I have a bag in my freezer right now just waiting to be used. Great tip.
Well done. So simple. Very. American.

It's also nice to add a tea spoon of unsalted butter to the eggs before you cook them- it makes them smooth as velvet

OH I'm making this today for my parents :D
MrTheFreeverse 3 months ago
Should've, could've used the bacon grease to cook them eggs. d;-}
forestblades 4 months ago
@forestblades Yes, I could have; I'm more accustomed to using butter or margarine or oil of some type, but bacon grease tastes great!

i just wanna ask u is it ok if i put some water in the eggs and salt in it too because i dont want to ruin the flavour
MrFluffy7140 1 year ago
@MrFluffy7140 I generally put salt in the eggs. Sometimes people also add milk. I have never added water, but I don't think that would ruin the eggs.
