My dad works for IBM and I've been a PC user all my life but last christmas they got me a macbook. best present ever. The picture quality is better, it's faster, and it's not clogged up with viruses and the anti-virus protection. Mac's aren't for everybody and not all of their products are perfect. But in my experience Mac's are better than PC's, My lenovo had virus after virus, even with norton and then the lcd light broke on the screen. I've no issues with my macbook.

Quite another for someone to be stealing your passwords and bank account info without you even realizing it. What you don't know CAN hurt you. Also, Macbook displays aren't better. @ZoonVanPoseidon The game argument becoming quite old hat now. With producers such as Bioware, Blizzard, EA and Valve, as well as many new indie developers, producing Mac games I never have any problems :) TBH Snow Leopard and Win7 are both excellent OS's.
Operating systems are kinda like LEGO - You have Mac/Duplo, which is easy to play with and looks kinda cute, but you can't really do much with it. Then there's PC/System, which most people are familiar with and can do plenty of stuff. However, for truly amazing stuff, you need Linux/Technic, but most people have no idea how to use it efficiently :o
True, but the Mac's version of the "App store" is starting to get some games, like COD MW and Assassins Creed II. Hopefully it will start having more games working on it but its far from perfect and has a long, long, long, long way to go. Hopefully they'll start releasing more new games like Black Ops and Assassins Creed Brotherhood soon. Except for that I prefer Mac's because of their simplicity and their stile. And no, Mac's aren't for kids, they are for people who don't game much.

By Macs being simple and minimalistic, they imply that the general public doesn't need to do any research on hardware or PC maintenance to be able to use a Mac. For advanced users, I wouldn't recommend MAC. There are no great frameworks available for the OS to develop software, you need a PC for that.
It also takes a while to get a hang of all the "secret" keycombinations to type special characters and such. And HELLO, right clicks are actually
quite handy!
And the CTRL+ALT+DEL is quite missed when it crashes.
I would however, recommend it to complete computer idiots because you can't do anything wrong with a MAC, because you actually can't do shit!

Operating systems are kinda like LEGO - You have Mac/Duplo, which is easy to play with and looks kinda cute, but you can't really do much with it. Then there's PC/System, which most people are familiar with and can do plenty of stuff. However, for truly amazing stuff, you need Linux/Technic, but most people have no idea how to use it efficiently :o

True, but the Mac's version of the "App store" is starting to get some games, like COD MW and Assassins Creed II. Hopefully it will start having more games working on it but its far from perfect and has a long, long, long, long way to go. Hopefully they'll start releasing more new games like Black Ops and Assassins Creed Brotherhood soon. Except for that I prefer Mac's because of their simplicity and their stile. And no, Mac's aren't for kids, they are for people who don't game much.

@ReinnResauq Yes there are exclusives that are worth it. Crysis alone is worth getting a Pc and MAC can not play it. I think it's reasonable that is all down to personal preference if you have a shit box or fuck station then sure it is worth getting a MAC no hassle, no problems. But if you want to have games that can beat any console graphically have smoother controls then get a PC, PC's are for true gamers after all. Yeah sure you keep your MAC, with me I'll stick to my gaming PC.

By Macs being simple and minimalistic, they imply that the general public doesn't need to do any research on hardware or PC maintenance to be able to use a Mac. Because of this, they also get to charge you ridiculous prices. It's not so much Macs being shitty, but it's that they just aren't cost efficient. Honestly, building a PC isn't that hard. Try it.
