  • I can't stop laughing--- great idea and great video

  • This is an awesome Idea! Naturally I just bought a new fuel tank for my Jeep and installed it today! I just stumbled on to this video... The Jeep sat for four years with a low fuel level, It rusted badly above the fuel level and rust flakes killed the fuel pump. I am going to try this...strap it to my Jeep rear wheel. I'll bet I can save the tank! Thanks for a great idea.

  • how many gallons is the gas tank

  • That's a good idea. I was going to toss some chain in my Farmall Super C gas tank and shake it around, think I might just jack up another tractor and toss some chain in it and do this lol.

  • There some guy with a video doing the same thing exept with a wheel chair and a drill!

  • is this the only step?

  • did it dent the tank any?

  • @ushouldntjudgeme

Nope... Tank looked just fine :)

  • I cleaned a gas tank for an M farmall like this with my 1959 cub. I used coarse sand and water. With enough water sloshing around it cleans the top and bottom pretty well. The results, clean white metal inside the tank. Takes patients though, rinsing all the sand from between the baffles.

  • thats a hell of an idea but does it get too the bottom of the tank since its mounted sideways?

  • @jnny3000

It diddnt for me... You could probabally come up with a unique idea to mount it so it gets the top and bottom... The bottom of the tank is sometimes less rusted then other parts tho...

  • @ChuckE2009 yeah i think your right. i have an 8n and i just noticed the tank has a shitload of baffles in it. not much rust on the very bottom tho. i used 9/16 nuts in it earlier today. then i put in some lug nuts and i get those out due to the baffles. if i cant get them out ill probly just leave em in there. piss on it. lol

  • If you get stuck you can ring up Dave's Farm, he'll help you out.

  • One wheel turning is hard on the side and spider gears in the diff, Low speed is best for the diff but still extended periods will cause damage

  • @robinap01

Do you understand how an open carrier differential works?

  • how come the orther wheel not turning??

  • hahahahah lmao thats great

  • Great job!

  • I could... But theres been nothing to update on... I havent been on the farm in months

  • @ChuckE2009 i just started watching your videos. what do you mean you arnt on the farm dont you live there

  • yea that is a good way or if its a small gas tank you could put some rocks in there and shake the shit out of it. thats how i got the rust out of my briggs go kart engine

  • you forgot to mention use only 2 wheel drive
