  • i never realized this but his wrist is completely locked or laid back at the beginning of take back and loosens as he approaches his racquet drop

  • Just watching this video taught me a lot more than what I have learned from my past experience. Thanks .

  • very bad hell never be a professional tennis player

  • beautiful

  • Art

  • Been playing for years and just learning to top spin. problem that many online courses forget to talk about is the shoulder rotation on the forehand and back hand. You only get the whip when you open up the shoulders after having the lead shoulder face the court. I kinda figured it ou by watching all these awesome vids.

    thanks poster.

  • @dharmaboy75

Sometimes watching the pros is the best way to learn things. I remember as kid, the stuff I picked up just from watching the top players hit often helped me tons more than the things I learned from coaches.

  • @tokinblckgie I don't even have a coach, and to be honest I am very good at tennis - I learned by watching tennis pros on tv.

  • Amazing body rotation!

  • Beautiful, but not useful for me. I'm too old to do jumping FH, it consumes too much energy.

  • Forget tennis lessons... just watch Feds videos.

  • beautiful!

  • Nadal made 3 YouTube accounts to dislike this.

  • dope

  • they're not locked on the "ball" all the way through the swing. he's looking at the contact point through the BACK of the racket face

  • Who on earth could "Dislike" this !

  • wow thats awesome. He hits up and behind the ball, arm extention then a low follow through to whip the ball back down.

  • liquid whipppp

  • use your eyes!!! he does not watch the ball after contact he stays locked for 2 tenths ( my guestinate) on the holy grail- the point of contact!!!!

  • class class and more class

  • legend

  • @tennisfreakification did you notice that after he hit's the bal he sort of remaind looking at the hitting point?

  • fed is famous for watching the hitting point long after he hits it. makes his game even more graceful looking

  • There is no others players in the world that can do this shot with this perfection and armony of movements....the best of the best

  • lol no shit thats because thats how he does it.. other ppl ahve their own style?.. wow dumb ass

  • wait...doesn't he switch his grip to a more western grip rite after his side step when he's taking his back swing??? O.o

  • no...

  • Looks like he is, actually: maybe he saw a fast ball coming and therefore decided to hit with a slightly more extreme grip to give more spin and send the ball over the higher part of the net and along the line instead of crossing. If you ask any coach he will say nobody makes this kind of fine grip adjustments, it makes the game too complicated. But maybe not for Roger. Unfortunately he will never tell.

  • @kwertyno He said on his website that he changes his grip slightly depending on the shot.

  • federer FLYS!

  • it is amazing how Fed moves with big steps towards the ball, jumps into it and, what is even more decisive for his excellent footwork, while landing he already sets his feet ready for the next step back to the court center. Very economic and fast. Nadal, who is damm fast, still runs like a pure clay-court player, often sliding into the balls, even on hard courts. His topspin is superior to Fed´s & as a lefty he has a natural advantage. But now he is paying for his tiring footwork.

  • eastern forehand..although it suits beginner but if you used to train with it..sure, you can handle and control it like a pro

  • This forehand is actually the best shot in tennis history... It's the most fluent, elegant and effective stroke I have ever seen a player play.

Nadal is a good margin below.

  • Comment removed

  • the eastern grip can let federer drive through the ball more than nadal, just not hit as much spin, therefore sacrificing consistency, theres nothing amature about it, the only thing amature here is your spelling, cockwad

  • both of your spellings are AMATEUR.

  • Being offered two choices, one being better than other, a man thinks. If given the knowledge, he will take the best choice, right?

It is relevant to madness to knowlingly and willingly make the worst choice. Obvious, but yet misunderstood by many.

What would make him choose wrong? Ignorance would.

Then, how should he solve his problem if he doesn't know which is better?

Again, he will be offered to choose, being offered answers rather than choices. He will evaluate and take the best. Right?

  • Because, we always would never pick the worst knowingly, he wil levaluate and pick the best answer, the best thoughts, the best concept.

This will dictate his choice. Right?

Then, what's the point for a man to try to convince an other he is right? He won't get any knowledge from that and it won't help the others.

Now, you are given this choice. Why would you be stubborn and play the deaf? Why to risk to take the worst?

  • Well, this lesson I gave here was about humility.

    I teaches you one thing:

Don't estimate pride over knowledge; admit your ignorance and limits to get better.

And, yet, I don't pretend it to be true hence why I give one reason:

Because out of two choices, you must take the best to avoid the bad ones.

  • owned

  • Federer is world #1 with 15 slams

    Nadal is world #3 with...lol!

  • the hair!!!

  • dont u have it?

  • In front of such elegance, gracefulness and perfection, one can only admire the result.

Some great players looks incredible, others goes even as far as making it seem easy.

Roger does none of these; his play doesn't look easy, his play actually improve yours at its only sight.

  • makes me realize how shitty my game is

  • Wowowow! The acceleration is intense!

  • peRFect forehand!

  • pe RF ect!!!

  • PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I always forget.. "bend the knees... bend the knees"

  • I love how his eyes are completely locked on the ball all the way through his swing.

  • @theImaginarySolution Federer follows the ball like a predator follows prey. And he never blinks when he hits.

  • Thanks for uploading it. I learn a lot from this. I mean, Federer has the best forehand ever and that's a fact. :)

  • @uniquehand And certainly the most beautiful one

  • wowowow

  • i bet this shot was a winner.

  • man..tremendous racquet head acceleration!
