One day I used Malware bytes on my pc I ran a full scan and I was suprised that I only had 10 viruses considering all the virus links I clicked on :D AVG did its job :D

i been using zone alarm suite for years. but recently zone alarm let me down big time. been using bitdefender for the last 3 weeks and its the best no doubt but.....i am a PC gamer and bitdefender slow down my pc and my games. trying everything to diable bitdefender 2010 but cant. the antivirus causes my games to move in frames for 3 secs every 10 secs. HELP!

quarantine is a jail for virusess so itz good if u got virus in quarantine the virus does not infect if itz in quarantine

it means , when an antivirus detects a harmful software they move it to a chest (folder) so it cant do any bad shit :P

Quarantine is a hidden folder your AntiVirus moves viruses to if you choose it... and it disables them from loading.

It's hidden so you can't go back and execute it again.

yes, believe it or not it does have a very good antispyware protection rate. I didn't think it did but it does pick up trojens and such pretty quickly.

i went to check at the website and i didnt notice that the new free version comes with anti spyware protection, my apologies, but its still only basic protection.

well i think that you should update everything and i think you should use avira free anti-virus, because i would recommend avg but it doesnt protect u from rootkits 4 free and avira does, also have windows defender on and ur firewall and also get malwarebytes, it works with avira to keep u safe and it works great in emergencies :D

probably bit defender in my opinion but if you find it drastically slows down your pc then Norton because it is good for older pc's probably not 2009 but Norton 360 is what's on my old Dimension with Xp but on my vista inspiron i just got Bit and it is amazing it also comes with a bunch of extra tools if you get the total protection like a disk defragger and a bunch of other cool things

just a tip to anyone out there worried about their pc being vulnerable. just get a free AV from a decent AV and mix it with comodo Firewall. If your a computer user who does alot of things buy a AV and combine with threatfire and Comodo Firewall. You'll be safe. i recomend also geting Spy bot S & D and keep it off until you have a virus. AV tend to focus more on viruses than spyware. i used to have AVG AV and i downloaded a file scanned it and it said clean but turned out to be trogans=(

try having your whole computer up to date, turn on your firewall and windows defender, now after that i recommend getting malwarebytes and avira, malwarebytes will work alongside avira to find anything tht might accidently slip thru, plus avira protects you from rootkits 4 free which avg doesnt.. hehe

BitDefender is decent, although I wouldn't go with it myself. I did a scan, and it wasn't able to remove anything out of the 8 found. I don't think it works well with compressed files. Not my recommended AV.

It does depend on your pc. Newer computers (1-3 years old) should use bitdefender. Older computers should use kaspersky.
