  • you can jail a revolutionary but you cant jail a revolution...Abbie Hoffman

  • It's time to end the FED.

  • Between 1935 and 1943 the Works Progress Administration (WPA) put over 7 million unemployed Americans BACK TO WORK and helped America out of the depression.

We have enough people in this country to do everything that needs to be done.

We need a WPA style JOBS PROGRAM.

Those polititians who believe that government should not hire American workers can follow their own ideology and GIVE THEIR JOB TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS IT!

Lets get a WPA style JOBS PROGRAM STARTED !

    .

  • Occupy Wall Street is a great idea but wrong target. PROTEST the bankers behind the FEDERAL RESERVE who ARE the system, NOT merely the Wall Street bankers who merely work the existing system. The Federal Reserve is what takes from the poor and gives it to them, the SUPER RICH and ultimate defacto power.

  • @BrettJRipley Look to the other parties (i.e. neither the democrats, nor the republicans).

  • Hello America. In Finland we all have free health care, unemployment benefits and education. And some Americans say that Finland is a communist country. Well, if it's true, I'm a communist and proud of it!!

  • @tinyproblem "free health care" yeah you dont pay taxes for it

  • Lower Rich: 45-50%

    upper middle class: 35-45%

    This should be more realistic

  • @AtticusAmericanus problem is not tax rate but tax avoidance.Note GE who made 14 billion in the USA last year but paid 0 taxes.Saying that there should be a far higher tax on large bonuses paid to CEOs etc or some kind of limit placed on them.

  • Please Respond

    How About this:

    Top 5% earners:75-80% income tax

    Lower Rich-upper Middle Class: 40-50%

    lower Middle Class: 20-40%

poorest of Americans: 2% of government aid

  • I suppose someone could claim that this guy is against the monopolistic relationship between private companies and government and proof of this is that he wants to just do away with private companies altogether. But whether he is actually for monopoly since he voted FOR Obamacare or whether he is against it because he says so, it is clear that he is a demon.

  • Bernie Sanders for President!!!!!

  • Phase 1. Occupy Wall Street

    Phase 2. ?

    Phase 3. Profit

  • Damn right Occupy's touching a nerve. Watch "Occupy vs. Top 1%" to see how strong that nerve is.

  • Thank you, Senator Sanders.

  • The media and others like to focus on the fringe members protesting; the hippies and the homeless and the radicals. The only thing the 99% movement is missing is the other 98 percent. When things get bad enough and "common," or "normal" people realize that the system isn't working and it's time for a major change, Occupy will grow by the millions. We don't have capitalism anymore, we have corporatism-- and it does a good job of taking care of the ruling class. Not so good in taking care of us.

  • RON PAUL 2012!

  • To the United States Government,

If you do not like how Wall Street is being run, STOP GIVING THEM MONEY

  • Bernanke was speaking thru his ass,he ismt trying to help anything but his image.

  • It's just more political blah blah blah bullshit.

  • Bernanke is above the senate, congress and the african born president! It will take more than ows to make things right, the main stream media is the tool but again Bernanke owns them too.greed and illegal behavior yes indeed but recklessness i think not something planned and controlled isnt reckless unless the plan didnt meet its objective or work. Not enough people awake and time is running out!!!

  • Yes and plus our Gov. is supposed to have men serving OUR PEOPLE-NOT little tin gods they apparently worship. Mammon is a sinful succubus.

  • So much ignorance in these comments.America has many flaws and her government is far from perfect but I believe it is still the best place on earth to live and I am proud to be an American. That being said, never trade the thrills of living for the security of existence. Think for yourself and question authority.Too many people are quick to voice thier opinion about poeple voicing thier opinion(occupy wallstreet) while forgetting our constitutiional right as well as our humanly common sense.

  • @TheAndyChandy Lol! legendary comment :)

  • @TheAndyChandy the reason I am calling you a fucking idiot is because I would like to point out that protesters are not sitting on their asses....so yeah...here it comes...FUCKING IDIOT

  • @TheAndyChandy Yet he'll lower our already low taxes and not get us out of the recession?

    ???

    LOGIC!

  • @reddemon785 he wants to cut the spending and the size of the government and end the federal reserve, where all the corruption comes from. DUMMY!

  • @TheAndyChandy Yeah right. Like that's gonna change anything. It's a wall street government you fucking dumb ass.

  • Don't be fooled by this psychopathic liar Bernanke. He knows full well that the people of the world are systematically being financially raped and ultimately enslaved by the bankers! He pretends that he is understanding and only the fools that don't know what's going on fall for his phony compassion. This man is one of your primary enemies and for those of u who don't know that shame on you!Maybe u should pay more attention to the world u live in instead of watching TV and playing with your toys!

  • zionist evil cunt should be put to sleep 4ever

  • he will unemployed soon and become a proffessional toilet trader with his ass, what a no hair ,no fore skin asshole

  • Only 9% unemployment in the u.s? that's nothing compared to britains unemployment which is at 23%

  • @DarkosApprentice 17% U6 in the US, the UK equivalent is a little lower.

  • But if it does get better then.....things might go in the right way, if only for a little bit

  • is The way I see it is once the economy is good agin every one will stop, nothing will change, the economy will go down every one is pissy then it will go back up and every one will be happy and think it will never happen agin….sad rely I want change but for permanent change the debt system has to go.The founder of the debt system gess what, he used his system to get rich blab la right, well it ended caching up with him, in other words his system collapse, a bit foreshadowing don’t you think?

  • @jo87651 Agreed, it's our money, not the FIRE sector's and it should be used as a servant, not a master, to serve we the people, not enslave us to the few plutocratic oligarchs. When foreigners want to save our currency by net exporting to us and the private sector wants to save a couple of per cent national income a year average/mean over the business cycle a government deficit will mean/average 5%. In a 'balance sheet recession' with hi private sector debt it will be more like 10-15%

  • @WillOrng I agree, but are enough...People willing to do something?.. I see it as not a mater of people don’t know what’s happening, instead I think people HAVE NO WILL OR CONVITION TO STAND UP, people fear the unknown, And revert to OLD WAYS, even if there’s a different way, a better way, people will no go for it why? Well people think that the best way is what we have; they can’t comprehend it being any other way, end of story. I’m sorry to say.

  • to divert the attentions from OWS movement and to get people behind the government , the bankers and the corrupt US politicianS are pushing obama to start an unjust war with iran, knowing in time of war americans like to support there troops and w.house

  • Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

    John F. Kennedy

  • It may be necessary to turn violent, but we should 1st follow the example of our nation's founders & peacefully protest for although I've already seen cops beat the shit out of a couple of ppl, if in defense a cop gets beat up the media wont stop showing it

Now the Dem & GOP Parties plan to suspend the US Const around their convention sites so there can be no free speech there & if they do & dont address the gross wealth inequality by then, you'll have waited long enough & be justified

  • Dose Bernanke have diplomatic immunity? Can he be punished? who is responsible for doing a survey?

  • What makes any of you think that Ron Paul will be able to do a damn thing? NO President can do squat until a second term! And actually this one has pulled a bunch of utter miracles out of this term. Health care reform? Equal pay for both genders? There's a really long list of amazing accomplishments. Those Bush wars were Treasury looting privatized con games as was Tarp. Can anybody fix eight years of theft and thirty of Reagan in a first term? No. We have to re elect the one we have no

  • They're not protesting a bad economy... they're protesting corporate and government fraternization. A bad economy isn't something you "protest", it's something you fix. And you can't fix it when the corporations who own the vast majority of the nation's wealth refuse to create jobs despite being bailed out and despite making massive profits.

Which is why they are protesting against them.

The Fed Chairman certainly has no clue what people believe, does he?

  • So ironic how americans want to all have money because they are frustrated by their lack of it yet they are not willing to spend a dime on universal health care and promote equality. Capitalism has a large class-gap by nature! Everyone protesting got the short end of the stick but that is how the USA's economic system works! Not everybody can be rich! I'm also guessing most people claiming to be a part of the 99% all have smart phones and laptops. Those are products of corporations hypocrites.

  • Do you remember in 2 years ago when when iran did not have something like this CNN or BBC said : Oh they are killing people in Iran and some az these thing. now something real happend for America . az a Irainian I love my country and god damn Israel and god damn liers and we Irainians fight until we are alive for our country and for our Religion .

  • only ron paul can save us now

  • How can Bernanke blame it partially on regulators? Him and his cronies went out of their way to prevent and scupper regulation. He's an enemy of the people and should be tried for fraud and treason. Make that bastard walk the plank.

  • @nakedmambo Bernanke and his buddies at the Fed were the biggest regulators of them all. What they did is regulate everyone BUT their board members and lobbyists from Wall Street. Bernanke is a fraud, just like Greenspan.

  • the truth is like water....we need it!

  • Ron paul

  • Hey I saw that guy in another movie the other day. Inside Job it was called. He played a great bad guy. Same beard and everything. I think he is getting type cast.

  • Bernie sanders for president

  • bernacke is a LIAR, why would we believe his assestment of anything.

  • @monjiaitaly at least he got the message. anyone who says they dont get the occupy movement is lying thru their teeth.

  • me message to friends in wall street movement: don't give up, don't afraid, don't scared, keep going, be one hand together, don't lose your power, Do not lose your strength unite against the corrupt and authoritarian, Leave the partisanship and the national, ethnic, and be at the heart of one man. believe me you will win because you are the 99 %

  • I have read some pretty ugly comments about the protesters. They are unemployed bums, they dont shower, the list goes on. It doesnt seem to occur to the people making these comments that there are NO jobs for these people; primarily because of the GFC. It seems that the drones of society are the ones that support the bankers. I can see no way out for the US financial system and therefore, logically, these protest will get worse.

  • is it me or is Mr. Bernanke aging very quickly in these last few years? He seems so nervous and with a sickly pale complexion in this video as if he is scared to DEATH!

  • CORPORATE GREED = OCCUPY WALL STREET

  • Fight for what you believe in! (without actually fighting)

  • Income equality: Occupy Joanne Rowling & Stephanie Myers for making over $1 billion each with their books and movies. NOT FAIR. Redistribute their income to all of us poor writers. It's not fair that they are making so much money. It's part of my pursuit for happiness to get some of that wealth!!!

  • At 0:37 and 1:09 did anyone notice what the other people were doing? R they even paying attention?

Occupy Wll Street all right! I'd join u if I could, just keep up with pressure!

  • All your base are belong to us

  • some if the most trustworthy economist who predicted the unfortunate housing market, have predicted a tax revolt in 2012. If you research where our taxes go we the working class will benefit from this.

  • THIS IS NOT A PROTEST.....THIS IS THE REVOLUTION OF TRUTH....YOU HAVE FAILED AMERICA!

  • the only remedy's that will fix the US are first and foremost stop the illegal income tax and shut down the IRS! stop all wars and bring troops home! make it illegal for any corporation to give favors of any kind to US senators and those in offices and for any senators to buy stock directly they should have someone do it blind and stay out of the real estate business. put a heavy tax on all items made over seas so much so that it will be more profitable to have things made in the US. and more...

  • If you wish to live a life with a PURPOSE and without a steady everyday ROUTINE that sucks out all motivation to live for free thinking individuals such as myself then OCCUPY WALL STREET

    and then....

    OCCUPY THE PLANET

  • Bernanke is one of the biggest criminals.

  • sadly....

we have no time for you, sir.

    die now without assessment.

    /watch?v=8A7tL5VbMKA

    die

  • So ironic... It's not Wall Street, damnit. It's these clowns in Congress.

  • @Rucka4life1

    ...and the Obama administration.

  • This is just a pro wrestling production. Don't let these creeps in the congress fool you - THEY BET AGAINST YOU AT EVERY TURN! This is a production, their supposed GIVING A SHIT is an act! These loathsome scum need to be hung (ALL OF THEM) or at least jailed for life!

  • You are automatically a fascist corporate brain-washed puppet if u oppose OWS.

  • Oh wow this video is soooo dubbed it is ridiculous.

  • search for

    thrive movie

    please

  • ridiculous .. the biggest fraud and corporate stooge is OBAMA ... I don't see Occupy Wall Street surrounding the the White House ... USEFUL IDIOTS. Look up the term.

  • @craigenputtock

I dont see the GOP doing anything to make things better so stfu, hypocrite.

  • we need to get back to 10 commandments of God,bill of rights, this debt is a made up thing just to enslave us wake up!

  • Keep the heat up.

Peaceful protest; take the slings and arrows: eyes will open and power will sway.

Know your subject, win hearts and minds with the truth.

  • @willdrake1 You people talk about greed? I know I know, you guys want money that people who work for their whole life have, but you have to work for it bitches. Half of you already get money from the Government, which THERE IS NO REASON FOR THAT. You should be all shot, useless people.

  • @Trifonsdude

You're so ignorant its sad; it has nothing to do with taking from one to give to another.

Everyone gets money in some way from the Gov you idiot and no, I'm not that half you were so incorrectly suggesting anyway. I pay Fed Taxes.

"You should be all shot.." is wrong.

"You should all be shot.." is right.

You can't even conjugate a sentence correctly; plz leave this kinda discussion to the big kids, OK.

  • @willdrake1 "Plz"? Sorry, I do not know English so well, because I wasn't born here, but I economy much more then you do.

  • @Trifonsdude

Plz, you retard, is an abbreviation for PLEASE; but you already knew that, yet you somehow think that gives you room to wiggle out from underneath the grammar-hole you put yourself beneath. Really? You went on, "I economy much more then (which should be than, cause then deals with TIME; than dealing with comparisons) you do," to make more of a joke; but again, you only continue to show just how retarded you are and why your opinion doesn't really matter.

  • @Trifonsdude Wait a minute--you mean I have to work for my keep? You mean to tell me that if I don't work for what I have, then someone else had to???

You're so right. But why bother--these idiots have nothing but their angst, laziness, and bong water. I actually just find it convenient that they're all concentrated in one place.

  • @thereinliestherib Woah man, I have a fing college degree and work full time at a dead end job. If you knew anything about how we have a 22 percent unemployment rate in some areas, like Michigan-where I live, then you'd have some perspective. Something tells me you might be silver spoon fed. young ppl tend to be hit the hardest....college students that worked hard to get somewhere getting the shaft.....

  • @Williambeeeeeeeez Yep, a real silverspoon: got my own college degree working forty hours a week, with a 4.0, gradded straight into the recession, then slogged through a nightshift while contracting days until I saved enough to get back to pro school. Enjoy that job--but get out as soon as possible. Nothing will change--least of all the entitled flea bags whining about the 1% using time they could have spent acquiring employable skills. My best, brother.

  • @thereinliestherib The chances of an unemployed person getting a job are 17% and have been for a while...the problem is the government is running the economy too cold at below full employment of labour and capital capacity, this is disfunctional

  • @WillOrng Yawn. Some people have been hit hard--real hard--by economic factors beyond their control, but do you know why the majority can't find jobs? Because they can't work. Worker productivity has actually increased during the Recession. Do the math--by and large, the laziest and least employable people are unemployed. And no, its not the world's fault they majored in humanities and expect a middle class salary/benefits.

  • @Trifonsdude Firstly there's a job famine, U6 is around 17%. Second wages have fallen behind labour productivity for decades, guess who's creamed off the profits? CEO pay has increased 700% in the last ten years, share prices 27% and ordinary people's pay 22%. Is this performance related pay? My arse* it is! *English term for posterior.

  • ows has changed the game its about dam time

  • You know I don't care what they might say I am pro occupy wall street. We have sat back quiet long enough. With all the radical teapartiers and birthers . We cant sit back and be taken advantage of. We have the right to voice our oppinions too . This is america land of the FREE. THAT is MY OPPINION

  • @Wavedude21101 , Land of the free only until it becomes a problem they can't control by other mean. For protests 1% the size of those in USA the NATO had an excuse to bomb Libya ,launched a war and supported a few mercenaries with a lot of religious extremists in it ,fired missiles against their Presidential caravan , all of that without declaring war!.Meanwhile in USA they haven't passed any law in favor of the needed but Bush approved $1 trillion for the rich and then Obama did the same.

  • @Wavedude21101 hahaha stupid american young people keep occupy going then you dont notice us.Islam is soon nuclear we occupy you! lol you cant do anything about it

  • I don't understand whining about financial instability when tax payers allowed hundreds of billions of dollars to bail out the banks. you give them all your money and then cry about it. stop giving them money. if every one of the 99% said 'fuck the banks' we would see a lot more money and a rise in "no credit necessary" advertisements. there are many alternatives to big banks

  • fuck bernanke

  • Compare differences in continuity, dynamic, facial expression and body language in BB's answering to Mr. Sanders and to Mr. Burgess.

BB had prepared answer to Mr. Sanders. On the other hand, in the case of the question asked by Mr. Burgess, BB improvised his answer at the moment of speaking. It's more than obvious.

    Conclusion?

BB didn't really think about issues from Mr. Burgess's question. It was not on his mind. He is not interested in that. He couldn't be bothered. It's meaningless.

  • Sen. Sanders is not an idiot! He at least is approachable and sane. He lacks the greed that the corporations bought Senators and Congressman. You people that are limited in your logic and intelligence need to clean your filter.

  • The republicans drove us to a cliff The democrats pushed off off. No incumbents for 2012 elections.

  • Ben Bernake is such an idiot

  • these protestors are so stupid its not the corporations fault at all. With out buisnesses america would not be what it is. obamas failed policies is the reason why no one has jobs dont blame the corporations. Newt 2012

  • Its coming time to take the next step. This spring we should swarm Lwr Manhattan so NOTHING moves. We do need a voice too. I admire Sanders and Dennis Kucinich coz they ain't been bought off. The rest are slime.

  • @GameFoundation stop watching fox news because those numbers are not real.

  • what an idiot communist pathetic commie. THIS MAN SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR TREASON.

  • The top 1% in America owns 43% of all financial wealth whereas the bottom 80% owns just 7%. That puts us at about the same level as Uganda and Rwanda -- and worse than such Arab spring countries as Egypt. The extreme concentration of wealth in the hands of the few is never good for a nation or its economy.

  • American people need work ethics & initiative, Washington needs iniciative & innovation.

EU & its citizens needs all of this squared.

  • PROTEST ON 11/17/2011 -- THE BIGGEST YET

Bloomberg did exactly what BIG banks did to many homeowners and evicted families illegally with faulty bogus paperwork.

Has Bloomberg and his crony partners learned nothing? This type of unlawful practice will NO LONGER BE TOLERATED!

Down with Bloomberg and down with unlawful deceptive actions on behalf of the NYPD.

The German police during the Holocaust thought they were doing the right thing too, and they unquestionably were NOT!

  • @CECOAdvocate

    CUNT
