Has anyone else noticed how the only people who don't like the 11th doctor are the ones who have only seen the 10th? Those people should seriously watch the 2nd to see where Matt is partly basing it on.

Matt is a terrible doctor, terrible actor, and as ugly as a zygon. I hope he dies quickly, in a bin, or commit suicide and go straight to hell. Blimey its a good life being a matt smith hater.all those dises and for a person who hates like me its easy.
When i saw this, and he mentioned episode 12, i could not wait all those weeks for episode 12. He was right though, the last 10 minutes were incrdible.
i loooooooooooooooooooooove matt smith!!! he was just fantastic in the eleventh hour hes like the tom baker doctor and the patrick troughton doctor rolled into one i can see why steven moffat picked him.
I quite like BOTH The Office incarnations for very different reasons. British and American humor are very different because our cultures are unique and being that I grew up with American humor that makes the American incarnation funny to me but being that I love British humor, that makes the British incarnation just as enjoyable.
I do agree with everyone saying that an American DW wouldn't be DW anymore, though. American Sci-Fi is usually shit, anyway.

No...no no no no no. I don't like him at all. I'm sorry I usually don't pre judge but...no. He's face is ugly (well no not ugly but it bothers me alot), their sticking him in freakin pee wee herman suit...no...no. I'm SO scared to watch now...
tough. get used to it MissGwen. i'm tired of hysterical tennant fangirls like you judging smith because of his looks. Sure, David Tennant has a great face, but his doctor suffered because of RTD's shit writing which gave us Planet of the dead, journey's end (40 minutes in), Last of the timelords, and series 4 (except for moffat's stories). most of tennant run didn't feel like doctor, it was more like the sarah jane adventures! its people like you who make me like tennant less and less every day.
I'd explain to you why I don't like his face but you wouldn't care anyway. His ACTING skills are quite good actually. Tennant is not that good looking...at all. In fact I didn't like him much when he came on. But he made the Doctor again. Like all the other great men did. I'm VERY unsure with Smith BUT in the finale he did really good which made me very happy. And also...PLEASE judge Tennant on his ACTING. Not your misjudged feelings on "hysterical tennant fangirls".
Now RTD I THINK(note that) did an AMAZING job in the writing when all the others failed at being him back. But you'd be happy to know that he has left the show also. Which I find to be very sad. But hey..MY OPINION. You'll get a new guy though :) And hopefully he'll be great at it.
@speedfreakgoforself1 hey i agree with you totally- RTD was a crap writer and not many of his stories were worth bothering with- Steven Moffat on the other hand will almost certainly succeed hes brought the vintage feel back tothe series
I'm American and love the American Office but I definitely say NO DR WHO AMERICAN REMAKE! All we'd do is put a bunch of unnecessary violence and sex in it and completely lose what makes Dr. Who so charming :) We'd be like, "Oh people don't like this actor anymore? Blow him up and make a new one". No heart.
America ruined The Office and Life on Mars and as an american I HOPE they will not make a "remake". It would honestly be garbage. I agree lets just keep watching what is being made in the BBC. Dont screw with something that is already working well. But hey at least it would only last a crappy one season and disappear. This is one american who DOES NOT support a remake.
God america already tried a remake before... it was what created 8... and that's the most painful thing to watch EVER. It was painful when it aired, it's twice as painful now.
Being an american myself, I still say that america should stay out of it. Their track record is only so-so with remakes of british shows, and they more often than not stick their foot in it. :(
To be clear, the TV movie wasn't a remake, but an attempt to revive the show. I don't think you can call it a remake if it's set in the same continuity. Also, the new version of Torchwood in the works isn't a remake either, but a spinoff, which I believe could actually work. However, I agree that turning a character as quintessentially British as the Doctor into an American would be awful.
Actually it was suppose to kinda of a pilot for a new series as well as bring the US audience it but it failed at both. The studio execs were waiting on ratings to see if they would be doing a series for the 8th Dr. I read it on wiki.
cant believe america wants to make an american remake of the show... its stupid... just watch the same show as us... we have to watch their crap without remakes and never complain...why cant they enjoy it with british accent?
I agree and Im american. It will be horrid if they remake Dr. Who. It won't be the same without the english accent. It is British born and too iconic to be anything but British. I know myself and many other americans who will boycott it if this happens

@orton0384 I don't see how America /ruined/ The Office because it's a completely different show except for the first episode.
