beautiful image so well suited...although i think i like the original version of Spastiche more than the version here....
the title is in referance to John not understanding why people liked the tune Spastiche and i guess when Peter finished it up to release on the final one he retitled it with Johns' opinion in mind....

This is not dark ambient, this is not industrial. This is pure genius. And one has to actually be quite brave to release stuff like this. Reflect over THAT.
to mention NIN alongside Coil, as though they are in some way equal to or as good as, is an absolute disgrace and a seriously embarassing misjudgement. In time, Coil will be seen by all that dont yet understand, for what they truly were, One of the greatest and most sublime groups of music makers to have ever walked the earth. Trent reznor isnt even close. Not one bit.
I'm starting to really enjoy listening to what really seems like the ordering of the random noise in my head into meaningful patters. :) In other words, I'm really starting to enjoy industrial music. :D
There's no such thing as "Dark Ambient". Just because you wear a cape and sneak out past your bedtime to howl at the moon doesn't mean that the type of music you listen to automatically gets the term "dark" thrown in front of it. Oh and yes, this would fall under Industrial.
when i hear this song, i imagine it being the soundtrack to the ongoings in the mind of a frightened, helpless primitive animal in a society that doesn't make any sense to him... hence the "ape of naples".

This could my mantra regarding this pretense (of a game) which some people choose to call life, but take it too far.
For a song with few lyrics it doesn't take much to read between the lines.

@somekind6ofstranger If you like this sorta stuff, you should definitely take a look at Boards of Canada.

You should check out more Dark Ambient, which I would still call this. It doesn't really have the industrial feel to it for me.
