That move isnt for "raw" dmg. It is meant for increasing the % status of stagger incredibly fast. That move + axis/enk blade + haste is like making light attacking nonstop. Army of one then in .5 sec, another army of one, in merely short amount of time, ur enemy is at 999% of stagger. Have Fang in your party with Genji glove and that mob will suffer painful phy atks.

there is always a maximum damage limit, and NO ATTACK will exceed the limit, be it 99,999 or 999,999 with Genji Gloves. I'm not sure if summons can do more, though

@cookiesbiscuits as far as I remember you unlock it at crystalarium lvl 5, which is the last lvl. And the only reason to aquire it is after you have beaten the game :)

US version, they're called Ravager. Their role is to have a higher chain of attacks on a particular target.

Sure, you can use a normal Attack command that does the same amount of damage Scene Drive does yet uses only one bar of the ATB gauge, but with said ability, and Scene Drive being able to hit multiple times and keep the break gauge from emptying (or so I've seen), well... you can imagine for yourself.

tl;dr version: Scene Drive is incredibly useful in a specific scenario, but otherwise, one normal Attack trumps it, damage-wise.

FYI, you can get all the special abilities, Scene Drive included, after you beat the last boss of Chapter 12, or so I've seen. Regardless, you can get them before you finish the game.

Also, all of them do mediocre damage unless you use them in a special condition. Scene Drive's, for example, is when you combo the attack with a specific ability that raises damage by a lot (no kidding there) when the break gauge is about to empty. (cont)
