  • you sound like Nigel Thornbury :)

  • nice Red Special in the background !

  • After listening to it further and learning to play it note for note, it is Brian May. His hammer-ons and pull-offs are very distinct. It is totally his style.

  • I have always wondered whether Brian May played the solos. It sounds uncharacteristic of him.

  • John Deacon played the solo guitar on this one.

  • So some say. The rhythm guitar sounds very similar to 'In Only Seven Days'.

I do wonder if Deacy did actually play the solos. There is a different style and attack to the acoustic parts that he notably played......I'm still unsure but I do like the idea that he did play the solos.

  • Brian May uses penthatonic or blues scales for his solos generally. The main solo sounds really different to brian solos, it doesn't sound 'bluesy'.

  • Yes but his orchestrations are very much 'not' bluesy? Check out the 3 creamy harmony electrics as a simple case in point......I have never read where it was confirmed that Deacy did play it. I'm sure he did the rhythm guitars.....but I can get a feel that May did play the solo parts...I don't want to believe it but I don't know for sure....

  • Great, 5 stars.
